For people who claim to support the so-called proletariat, Marxists and continental philosophers in general seem to be the most cryptic and impenetrable to the average person who didn't study humanities in university.

Neat little things from History.
Here's the relics from the tomb of the Black Prince. It has an actual heraldic shield and one of those Helmets you see in manuscripts all the time.

Is there any dynasty more retarded than the Bourbons
>Produce literally ONE good king. Admittedly he was one hell of a king, but he was alone.
>His two successors sit back doing FUCKING NOTHING. An age of rapid social change and they just sit on their asses, changing nothing about the political or legal structure.
>After Bastille, Louis XVI could've led the Revolution in a direction favorable to him (it was not directly opposed to the monarchy yet). Instead he chose to betray the entire nation.
>One revolution later, the reactionary and militant coalition restores the Bourbons
>Liberal concessions are made to please republicans and bonapartists alike
>Everything is well... until Charles X repeals all liberal changes
>He gets dethroned, but citizen-king Louis Phillippe is here to save the day
>Except he's literally retarded and it falls upon the shoulders of a Bonaparte to once again do what the Bourbons could not
>One Franco-Prussian war later and the Bourbons are offered the throne once again
>The Comte de Chambord refuses over A FUCKING FLAG
The brilliance of Louis XIV does not weigh up against the sheer retardation of the rest of the dynasty.
no, they actually are the worst thing to happen to European nobility.
The bourbons are one of the worst dynasties ever when compared to other well known houses
>The Bourbons manage to be worse than the literal inbreed retards that were the Habsburgs

If you're including Timurids you might as well include Alexander's Argeads.
Did the Parthians and Sassanids call themselves kings of Persia in the sense that they were new dynasties ruling the exact same state of Cyrus and Darius like the dynasties of the Middle Kingdom, or did they see themselves as something entirely different and unrelated, incidentally ruling the same territory?
Is it historically accurate to state that prostitution is the oldest profession?
fucking in exchange of something, even animals do that. prostitution and thieving are the oldest professions

>france spends centuries bullying the germans, invading them and trying to wipe out germanic culture west of the rhine (largely succeeding)
>germany eventually fights back and annexes alsace-lorraine, a germanic language-speaking region of france
>this is evidently the single most dastardly, despicable and vile atrocity ever committed in all of human history
>france's legacy is that of the defenseless, enlightened victim while germans are the terrible uncivilized eastern aggressors
What's up with that?
Both groups are subhumans and should be annexed by Rome again, really.

1700 is closer to the year 1390 than it is to 2016. Knowing this, has society changed more between 1390 and 1700 or 1700 and now?
>>1489064
Society has changed more in the last 100 years than it has in 6000 years before that
>>1489064
you can go further and pretty safely claim that society has changed more in 1900 to today than from 1700 to today.
the advent of the steam/combustion engine has done more to transform how humanity operates in this world than any other innovation since the sail.
human growth had been pretty slow and steady prior to the industrial revolution. so to answer your question, there has been more growth between 1700 and now than 1390 and 1700

I'd say it's highly probable.

At least her legacy was to make Ancient Egypt more famous.

No.

Can anyone recommend me some good books to introduce me to Islam?
I've been interested in the subject for a while, and what with the rising hubbub that surrounds the topic today I figured now's the time to get some actual knowledge in me.
I have a basic awareness of Islam, mainly from a modern political perspective but very little understanding of it as a religion, nor of its origins.
Would like to read and understand the history of its formation as a religion, and also understand the basic underlying philosophy and tenets of the religion.
Not looking to convert, nor am I ideologically motivated in my search, just want to understand it.
nothing?
Here you go buddy
