What challenges do contemporary women face?

It depends on the region.

What if God is real but he doesn't reveal himself to atheists because they don't believe in him?
The argument that will come up in the near future when more of the universe is explained.
I think God just doesn't care what we do.
>>1512839
Really makes you think
He doesn't seem to want to reveal himself to those who do believe either
Painting thread?

Ultrarealism is literally worthless
You can't experience non-existence, so you can only experience existence.
Given causality never stops, chances are the likelyhood of it giving rise to another 'you' approaches 1 as causality moves on.
Now, if there's a lack of experience in between reincarnations, would the cycle of birth and death feel instantaneous from an individual point of view?
Also do you think 'you' are merely the content of perception, that happens on the projection screen of perception?
None of what you posted is real.

What is real?
>>1515079
None of what you posted.
Alright lads, here's how this works:
I want you to take any number of consecutive digits from your post number and come back with an event that happened that year. BCE, AD, some other calendar system, doesn't matter. Just bring back something cool.

~2550 BC: About this time, Mesannepada is king of Ur (followed by his son, A-annepadda) who founds the First dynasty of Ur and overthrows the last king of Uruk, as well as Mesalim of Kish.
That is, unfortunately, about all the information that exists about this, those guys being part of one of those fun Bronze Age dynastic lists that take up so much of the Bible, or in this case a stele.

Something is fishy here
can we have a nuclear bomb appreciation thread?
this invention single handedly made total war impossible and brought us 70 years of peace and prosperity
>>1509577
>tfw in 100 years we won't have any recent wars to study
>this is what burgers actually believe
No, the superpowers just fought proxy wars for 70 years, you just can't see the destruction.
>>1509577
>this invention single handedly made total war impossible and brought us 70 years of peace and prosperity
>things that didn't actually happen
Reminder that two nuclear countries went into total war with one another within the last 30 years. Reminder that the U.S., Soviet Union and China both had open conflict multiple times over the last 70 years but it doesn't count to you because it was over foreign clay for the benefit of foreigners. Reminder that you are fucking retarded.
>Rome fell because of degeneracy
>X fell because of [modern political opinion]
>Rome fell because of barbarians
Why exactly did Rome fall?
I never quiet understood that
Anyone else interested in Aviation history?
>>1504751
I am.
Where the fuck do you think you are? If you want replies, go make a vaguely political thread and watch the ensuing shitflinging. No one on this board actually knows any history.
Me. Particularly the fighter planes of WWI and WWII and, to a lesser extent, early jet fighters up until about the Korean War after which dogfighting became more or less obsolete.
I've been looking for a good book about military aviation, fighter pilots and aces from the World Wars.
What are your thoughts on a libertarian society.
No taxes, no armies, freedom and no state regulations.
p.s. I'm studying economy at a keynesian university in Denmark. Not the best place for a libertarian.
>>1480654
It's the only kind of rational system which supports individual liberties against the myriad of authoritarian collectivists who prefer using force to achieve their own definition of the "greater good".
Pure ideology
How can a libertarian society exist with capitalism being the economic model? If there is no state and no hierarchies, who controls the money? If there is one central bank controling the money supply, it's not really a libertarian society anymore. So does that mean everybody can start to creat their own curriencies?
Is science rational or empirical?
Empirical.
>>1514575
In which case the claim that there is no god is very unscientific, and in fact anti-scientific?
>>1514581
It's not a scientific claim. One can say their is no observable evidence for god though.

Makes me appreciate modern conveniences though
why is this dude shirtless in every video even when anyone can see from his tanning that he's usually wearing a t-shirt outside? is he some sort of exhibition fetishist or some other pervert?

He's got a pretty hot bod
Why were Europeans so dirty for so long after the fall of Rome?
Chemical warfare.
>>1504173
I actually ask that question often myself. My guess would be the rainfall and the seasons. The cities are built to clean themselves.

So we could enslave the rest of the world with our immunity to disease

Neither. Both are short lived cancers.

mongols tbqh with you ladfam
>>1509782
Both are pretty unimpressive when you look at the people conquered, but I'll go with the Mongols since the technological difference between them and their enemies was lesser
Does anyone still legitimately believe in Marxist "economics" and the labor theory of value? I am all for social liberalism, but if you're not fiscally conservative as well then you are pretty much economically illiterate and incapable of understanding classical liberalism (i.e. libertarianism).
only memesters, which incidentally you are also if you are an ancap like rothbard there
>>1507514
Oh look, it's another thread which attempts to use old-world philosophy and adapt it to our modern world.
God dammit /his/, improve already.
>implying modern class struggles of the first world are ANYTHING like that of pre 1970's.
kys already.
Marx accurately described how economics worked in the C19th. Nobody put all that information in one place before Marx and Engels. We have no equivalent analysis of the modern economy.
>patriotism
>nationalism
>being proud of your country's achievements you never attributed to personally
>loving your country just because it exists and because you were born in it
Is there a bigger meme?
Never really saw the point unless you had such low self-esteem that you piggybacked off random people's achievements.
>>1497906
wtf i hate nationalism now
Nation states were a mistake.
