Is Real Crusades History credible?
Anybody who has "real" and/or "true" along with "history" in their name is of very questionable credibility
As he is stating what sources he are using, and uses first hand ones, the best way of finding out would probably be to find what critics are writing about him.
>>1519336
Not really, Has a heavy pro-crusader/pro-christian bias.
Doesn't it go against the notion that most people prefer peace and quiet?
>>1518984
Basically because as human society grows, population grows and as population grows, positive behavioral traits decrease
it's called the dialectic dumbass
>>1518989
then how come ants, insects and roaches live in harmony amongst trillions of their kind?
As you sit in your local Starbucks sipping your grande latte macchiatto and reading Das Kapital, you are approached by this man, who demands that you pay jizya lest you recieve nothing but the sword. How do you.solve this situation through Hegelian dialectics?
But the internet told me Sikhs were bros!
I tell this sikh man that I saw some faggot shitposting on /his/ with his picture
that's sikh turban and that sword is indian talwar
What would India be like today if Ghandi was removed from history? Do you believe that Britian would have eventually given it up? Would the Pakistan India split still have happened?
>>1517934
>Do you believe that Britian would have eventually given it up?
They would be still big agitation for independance and GANDHI WASN'T the online. Also colonies were a huge burden after all that 20th century mayhem and Thin White Line policy isn't sustainable
>>1517934
Maybe like twenty more years of Colonial rule, possibly Enoch Powell would have acheived his lifelong dream of getting the Viceroy position before leading a phased withdrawl with better relations between Britain and India
Once Britain had to start giving people political and economic rights, the Empire was no longer cost effective. It was never really about Grandeur for the British like it was for the French, so once they saw the way the world was moving they adapted to the post-imperial world pretty quickly.

So how do you feel when people say the Chinese never had an empire or conquerored other groups? Also how did the Han people, the quintessential "Chinese", become so dominant population and culturally wise? What were the other groups living in China then before the Han took over their lands?
Anyone care to shed to some light for an anon ignorant on their history.
>>1517756
>So how do you feel when people say the Chinese never had an empire or conquerored other groups?
That they're dumber than a sack of bricks because China was full of other ethnic groups when the Han were just restricted to the yellow river plain.
>Also how did the Han people, the quintessential "Chinese", become so dominant population and culturally wise?
By being situated on an extremely productive river and growing rapidly while maintaining cultural cohesiveness.
>What were the other groups living in China then before the Han took over their lands?
Evidently, Central and Southern China were full of what you'd consider Southeast Asians before the Han came in and settled the area. The Han have very northern stock and probably migrated across Siberia thousands of years ago. The Southeastern types were pushed further down into Southern Asia by the Han and wound up displacing the original inhabitants of Southeast Asia who were probably very similar to the Papuans and even the Negrito people. I know very little of Chinese history, but I have read some theories on how the Han wound up spreading throughout all of China and displacing the original Inhabitants.
>>1517756
>Also how did the Han people, the quintessential "Chinese", become so dominant population and culturally wise?
Unification of northern China,Sinicization, migration and elite diffusion.
Han as an ethnic identity ironically arose from the whims of foreign rulers who used it as a umbrella term for native Sinitic speakers of northern China.
>>1517800
>Evidently, Central and Southern China were full of what you'd consider Southeast Asians before the Han came in and settled the area.
Maybe linguistically, genetically options are limited as most of the samples are from the neolithic and lack autosomal dna.
>The Han have very northern stock and probably migrated across Siberia thousands of years ago.
Agreed. Uniparental markers show that Erlitou,Yanshi(early Shang) and Yinxu(late Shang) all show similarities with both the sedentary and nomadic populations of the Chinese "northern zone"(Hebei,Inner Mongolia,Liaoning)
Longshan the cultural predecessor of Chinese civilization however is a fusion of Yangshao and Dawenkou who form outliers in regards to modern day populations.
>The Southeastern types were pushed further down into Southern Asia by the Han and wound up displacing the original inhabitants of Southeast Asia who were probably very similar to the Papuans and even the Negrito people.
Tai Kadai/Tibeto Burman migrations are independent of Chinese conquest.
> but I have read some theories on how the Han wound up spreading throughout all of China and displacing the original Inhabitants.
The original inhabitants of the lower/central/middle Yangtze are long gone while groups further south were driven to the highlands.
The genetic affinity of regional Han subgroups to minorities show that the southernmost groups have significant native admixture.(compare Hunan Han with the Tujia,Hakka and Fujianese to the She,Cantonese to the Zhuang)

In my (not so) humble opinion
- Schindler's List
- The Pianist
- Hotel Rwanda
- The Killing Fields
- The Counterfeiters
- Andrei Rublyov
- Joyeux Noël
- The Proposition
- The Secret of Kells (shockingly)
- The Revenant
- Grave of the Fireflies
- Good Night, Good Luck
- Ed Wood
- Cinderella Man
- Amadeus
Granted, I'm going for period pieces and stories based on significant, documented incidents or persons. But these are all the ones at the top of my head. We could bitch about historical accuracy (coughamadeuscough), but how rare are Hollywood movies accurate?
I'm also going to throw in "The Way Back" in there. It's a still good movie even though it's long been proven to be false.
>>1516618
Have you read The Revenant book? I read it to prepare for the movie and man did the movie disappoint afterwards. I felt as though the movie tried to make Hugh Glass too likeable. Giving him a native american son and giving up revenge to the Native Americans at the end of the movie felt so cheesy.

Lets talk about the phenomena of NEETdom.
I know we liek thinking that NEETS are weak willed hedonists but lets break this down.
NEETs are individuals that are fell out of society's predefined goals and expectations.
They are not motivated to achieve socially accepted goals or status.
non NEETs are those who live within society's expeced goals, like having a family for example, or chasing after a better paycheck or after renoun or status or the ability to purchase a big house and dine in fancy restaurants.
Some NEETS can do things that they enjoy doing and on top of that also get paid for it, as in their actions are found to be relevant to society but they are simply doing what they enjoy.
From the point of view of society NEETs are useless hedonists because their actions are not productive for others.
But most non NEETS also are enagged in activities that are benefitial to them like making money to get whatever they want, like dinning in expensive restaurants.
In short, NEETS are simply a result of socities that are so free that they allow people to seek goals and endevours which are not defined as socially productive(they kight in the future be such).
A parallel can be made between advanced extremely effecient societies that become so at their apex at the cost of their long term existence.
Like capitalistic adanced societies that are so effecient and productive that their population is diminishing.
NEETs live in a constant state of individual APEX at the peril of their propogation of themsleves, as in reproduction and propogation of their ideals and actions in society.
