Why is it that every other "bad guys" in history are so often demonized as subhumans or barbarians, but these guys get a free pass?

The term "Hun" was literally brought back to use because of German barbarism in 20th century.

Do you mean during the time that the bible leaves out (1-~18?)
If so just look at any other child during that time period.
And if your looking for say his twenties just read the new testament, that's a good account, and then just use any other holy man during that time as an example for the times it leaves out.
Well, there was that one time he pushed another kid off a roof, got accused of murder, re-animated the corpse, and then puppet-mastered the body into saying he was totally innocent.

Was he popular with the ladies?
How do you live knowing that there are people in power who could easily ruin your life and you wouldn't be able to touch them?
slave morality
By not rubbing those people the wrong way.

>>3254641
>free from political prejudice
What exactly do you mean
>>3254915
>Mississippian
he means a history book that downplays the role of slavery in the Civil War in the name of "objectively" accounting for "all factors" even though literally everyone who isn't incredibly dishonest with themselves and others understands why it started

>Our analyses reveal that ancient Egyptians shared more ancestry with Near Easterners than present-day Egyptians, who received additional sub-Saharan admixture in more recent times.
>We find that ancient Egyptians are most closely related to Neolithic and Bronze Age samples in the Levant, as well as to Neolithic Anatolian and European populations.
Egyptians were actually Ancient Slavs who later migrated through the Middle East and Caucasus/Black Sea to Eastern Europe

Slavs are Scythians.

What does /his/ think of Stephen Cohen?
A bad historian on Russian history, an apologist for Russia and for Putin?
I listen to him on the John Batchelor show every week. He seeks okay I guess. But these days I just assume everyone is a shill and thus ultimately wouldn't doubt he's cashing a check from the Kremlin.

Can you guys tell me what was the endgame of the Prague Spring and what Dubcek meant by "Socialism with human face"?
Would these changes be relevant? Would it lead the country back to capitalism?
Social democracy with greater civil liberties and an independent foreign policy?
>>3254514
By social democracy you mean capitalism, but with a powerful state regulating it all, right?
>>3254468
Basically goulash communism plus degenerate western art, with Dubcek as the head honcho. My grandfather knew Dubcek personally and according to him he was the most butthurt, narcissistic faggot he's ever seen. When he realized he won't get to be president after the Velvet Revolution his levels of asspain could've powered a small city.
Was he the hero that America needed but didn't deserve?
>>3254264
In a way yes. He was also incredibly corrupt though. Had Watergate not happened, he probably would have been incredibly popular
>>3254264
Probably the second-most underrated president of all time, right behind Truman.
>>3254264
Yes. He got Mao to stop being as retarded.

I find that's the beauty of this place, I come here for a break from hardcore and in depth discussion about various points in history. I like the memes and the "culture" of the board, but if you lurk enough you'll find a lot of quality threads every to every other day.
If you come here to learn solely about history then this isn't the place however If you want to get occasional gold standard threads with a daily dose of dhitpodting/banter then this is perfect.
Although I completely agree /lefty/pol and /pol/ need to go back tok the shithole from whence they came.
