Why are leftist warcrimes frequently glossed over?
My main interest is the SCW and most authors, especially Spanish ones completely ignore Republican war crimes while they detail every single Nationalist crime they can think of. The only author who really addresses Republican warcrimes is an Anglo, Stanley Payne

>Why are leftist warcrimes frequently glossed over?
I wouldn't conflate the historiography of the SCW with a more general trend.
>>1619568
>leftist war crimes
>glossed over
>being this delusional
Yes, because history books and lessons aren't taught about the failure of communism now aren't they?
Far left and far right commit horrible crimes, and anyone who denies this is a filthy fucking commie or a delusional brain dead stormfag

It's time to settle this once and forever.
Why excatly democracy doesn't work?
>>1627994
It's very manipulative and relies on deceit to get anything done.
Still better than authroitarian regimes where brutality is the name of the game.
liberal democracy is the most successful form of government in human history
Because people don't care about complicated things and just want to live their life. Instead of being active citizens, voters look for a man/party to blindly follow.
Because liberty lead to autodestruction.
Because you get more chances to get elected if you say nice thing and this won't stop the million of foreigners to come in and become citizens.
Was Verdun the closest we've had to hell on Earth?
Passchendaele always seemed worse to me
Imagine dying in mud surrounded by Canadians
>>1623391
Stalingrad I think desu, but Verdun has a better argument in that it lasted longer
Leningrad

Why is it that the battle of Passchendaele is so much more well known than Verdun? was it more significant and important?
>>1626455
Is it? If it is its probably because one battle involved the british empire and the other involved frenchmen
Passchendaele=Anglos
Verdun=French
You live in an anglocentric world
That's all you need to know
>>1627251
More like Verdun=rest of Europe.
Was he French?
>>1625202
>spoke a previous version of french

No
>>1625202

He had over 70% of French admixture so he was genetically French
He spoke French and lived by French way so he was culturally French
Dude was as French as Richard Lionheart

Why exactly didn't China take over the world, or even some of it?

Apart from regional imperialism they were too inert.
Oceans, the talles mountains in the world, deserts, etc.

because most of your assumptions are wrong and based on history channel bullshit.
And inventing something doesn't mean you have an advantage forever.
In my Western Civilization class were currently discussing/ debating which civilization of the following has contributed the most to society/ the human race:
>Persians
>Sumerians
>Hittites
>Chaldeans
>Phoenicians
>Assyrians
>Babylonians
>Hebrews
What do you guys think? Which of those civilizations has been the most important in shaping our world today? Bonus points if you provide reasoning.

Has there ever been an instance in war history where you sympathized with both factions, and thought neither were evil but a clash was unavoidable?
I guess the American-Indian Wars is the best example. I feel like we have to conquer all the United States in order to accommodate the growing populace of the west, and our cultures differed such that integration was impossible.
I'm looking for other historical tragedies like that.
*had to conquer
Thoughts on Marx's theory of historical materialism?
>>1626503
It has been debunked by reality. Saudi Arabia or Qatar are extremely modern, developed and rich yet they still have absolute monarchy and hereditary aristocracy. On the other hand, the only countries eager to adopt socialism tend to be poor semi-feudal shitholes (Russia, China, Bolivia, Vietnam etc) rather than modern, industrialized societies like Marx envisioned.
>>1626503
Russia and China only now going through their capitalist phase, the USSR and PRC were deviations from materialism, and the model they used was stupid and based on being anticap instead of practical. Socialist republics should adapt from capitalist societies, retaining markets, but having public ownership of capital. Full world communism should be a result of production surplus, not central planning.
>>1626503
Getting real spooky in here...
For what purpose did the omnipotent sustainer of reality spend thousands of years preoccupied with petty tribal politics in a region the size of New Jersey?
Idk why don't you ask him
>>1624805
Because they were the chosen people, according to the chosen people.
>>1624805
because they wanted to feel important an thus created their own god that only cares for them, kinda like a husbando
Mercatocracy is literally a criminal system that allows a caste of "people" to commit infinite global crime with no possibility of just trial and punishment. You would have to go back to the Paleolithic to find a state of affairs where the worst of the worst held so much power.
>people will unironically defend this
Communism killed more than 100 million people.
Ok
It just works though

Prussian state. Hegelianism was an influential philosophy in Germany at the time. I wonder if both contributed to the success of the Prussian state and how. Protestantism encourages a good work ethic, but what else? What are some links and relationships between the three?

Also post Prussian stuff.
