What is this symbol and why do I see it everywhere?
What are its origin? (pic is some Persian ruin I think)
What is the meaning behind it?

>What is this symbol and why do I see it everywhere?
IT IS THE SYMBOL OF THE WORLDEMPIRE, WHICH COMPRISED ALL CONTINENTS.
>What [ITS] its origin? (pic is some Persian ruin I think)
IT IS A STYLIZED DEPICTION OF A PLASMA "PERATT" COLUMN.
OLDER AND SIMPLER VARIATIONS OF THIS DESIGN HAVE ALSO BEEN FOUND ALL OVER THE WORLD; THESE OLDER AND SIMPLER DEPICTIONS RESEMBLE A STANDING "STICKFIGURE"; QUOD VIDE: ATTACHED IMAGE.
>What is the meaning behind it?
THE FIGURE REPRESENTS THE PLASMA "PERATT" COLUMN WHICH MANIFESTED IN THE NORTH POLE MILLENNIA AGO, WHEN SATURN WAS POSITIONED ABOVE THE CENTER OF THE WORLD; THE SYMBOL REPRESENTS THE TOTALIZING COMPREHENSION OF THE IMPERIAL CIVILIZATION —VISIBLE TO ALL, SEEING ALL, COMPRISING ALL.

OK but was the WORLDEMPIRE supercapitalist?
Hello /his/
First time on this board, but I figured it would be the best board to "help" me
I found something in my garage from 1850, my grandmas great grandfather, James Grant
My family is related to Ulysses S Grant but no one knows much information about it because no one cared, except me
I can't seem to find anything about this guy though, is James Grant related to Ulysses S Grant?
I will post pictures of the outside of the book/case it was in and the documentation of this photo
(Had to turn on flash because the picture is like a mirror)
Outside
Paper that was written by my grandma
"My great grandfather
James Grant
Taken (in) San Francisco
Faye Moga circa 1849-1850"

What exactly are you asking for?
Can we have an African American heritage thread?
I especially want to learn more about some if the involvement African Americans had in the military(preferably the WWs) to give some respect to these unsung heroes.

>unsung heroes
they certainly weren't talked about much back in the day but now there's a constant circle jerk on shit like the tuskegee airmen

Who set this building on fire?
Has there ever been any confirmation?

No confirmation, but people generally assume that the dude they sent up for it was just a scapegoat. The Nazis stood to gain the most from the act (and did in fact gain everything), so they're the most likely actual culprits.
Is art defined timeless? People say film is art but if you watch the movies from the 30s or 40s they are hot garbage whereas I can read a book from the 30s or 40s and it is still fresh and impactful. Even go back hundreds of years and the literature and paintings look great but the same can't be said for film
Art is objective, appreciation is subjective.
art is a meaningless buzzword
Film was still a very young form of art, then.
There are fewer examples of great films from that time period because the medium was in a tremendous state of flux and most creators didn't really know what to do with the tools they had. Folks were also generally pretty easy to impress back then.
Does anyone know what the academic consensus is on how accurate Suetonius is? I'm having a blast reading pic related, but I've heard some people say he's too much of a gossip to be legitimate, but are there alternatives? I know of Tacitus.
nobody can really know. if you enjoy reading it thats all that counts.
>>1650738
>nobody can really know.
That's why I mentioned "academic consensus" rather than "the truth". I get that most classical history is foggy at best.
>if you enjoy reading it thats all that counts.
I'll probably continue reading it even if he's full of shit, it's just good to know.

/his/, could you help me identify what ship this is?
Here's one that's not sideways.

Bumping for interest
>>1650629
>>1650620
It's a three-masted square-rigged ship of some sort. Doesn't appear to be armed, so it's probably a merchantman.
Sorry I can't be more specific, OP. There's not not a lot of detail to work with, and "1821" doesn't narrow it down much considering the sheer number of ships in the world at that time.
Why were attack no defense or sane logistics allowed generals or admirals so well regarded in history and not treated like the bumbling retards they were?
Men like Patton and Rommel
>>1650418
Because warfare had drastically changed from the 19th century, onwards to the 20th century.
Reuental done nothing wrong.

because there isn't as much glory in defending a position as there is in charging in with saber and horse saving the day.
Filthy fucking jews.

Yup, Winston Churchill for getting Britain involved with the far-rightwing Nazi Germany and the far-leftwing USSR.
He should've told Hitler he was okay with fucking up Yurop but of course he was afraid Germany would fuck up the British Empire so he sided with the commies.
If he didn't attack Germany and let the two fags fight it out, the Allies could've swept in and destroyed both Nazi Germany and USSR.
Which was Patton's plan, ironically, but nobody listened to him. And so that paved way for a Cold War b/c USSR still existed.
Climate change.

Asiatic Jewish Bolscheviks and their American Capitalist butt buddies
Tell me /his/, what's the truth on these bastards? What are they hiding from us, if anything at all?
>>1650320
STOP DELVING INTO THINGS YOU SHOULDN'T KNOW ABOUT
FUCKING GOY
The ancient scriptures of the Hwan empire
Hiding? Probably nothing. But they have a bunch of shit they won't put on display because of how collection and exhibition work. And they've probably lost track of a bunch of cool shit due to clerical errors.
Is history just one big giant dick size contest?

Why isn't there any mention that Assyrians colonized Eastern Anatolia building massive cities (for the time), one of which gave us 20,000 written tablets

So I have to write an essay on the causes and consequences of the Wars of the Rosesbut I can't figure out any consequences that are worth mentioning...

So, any ideas?

Didn't Henry Tudor have a significant role in centralizing the kingdom?
>>1649852
Did he? I'll look into it.
So far I know that England lost a lot of its possions in France during the reign of Henry VI. Also because of Joan of Arc.
Why did he do it, the madman?
Because fascism got corrupted by the unwashed and uncultured Germans.
I always wonder what could have been of Italy if it wasn't for nazi bullshit.
