Vlad did nothing wrong.
he had a hard life
>pope is impressed by vlads work against the ottomans
>wants to support his campaign effort and start a new crusade by sending money to the king of hungary/croatia, matthias corvinus to give to him
>instead of funding vlad corvinus uses the money on himself
>when finally vlad gets news about the money that was suppose to help his campaign against the ottomans he goes to see corvinus
>corvinus has pretty much already spent all the money and knows he doesn't want vlad to talk
>what does he do?
>he ambushes vlad and takes him prisoner for around 4-5 years
>he only releases him after he promises not to tell the pope
>meanwhile wallachia pretty much is falling apart cause of the Ottomans
I can see why romanians and hungarians dont get along that well today

How did Russia differ from "real communism"?
What made it's communism fake?
real communism = it hasn't been tried

>What made it's communism fake?
It was unsuccessful
Any explanations?

>Economies get bigger when they add people or get more from their existing workforce. America is doing less of both. The Bureau of Labour Statistics projects that the labour force will grow by an average of 0.5% a year from 2014 to 2024, down from 1.2% annually from 1994 to 2004, because of ageing baby-boomers and low fertility. And productivity growth has stalled. From 2005 to 2015, output per hour worked grew by only 1.3% a year, down from growth of 3% a year between 1995 and 2005. In the year to the second quarter of 2016, productivity actually fell, by 0.4%.
>>1699772
>Optimists argue that this is part of a lengthy hangover from the recession, which should soon end. One contributor to productivity is the amount of capital—for example, machinery or computers—that each worker has at their disposal. The recession sent this ratio soaring as firms laid off workers and left machines sitting idle. Why would firms invest again before they had replenished their payrolls? But this explanation is becoming less convincing. The capital-to-worker ratio returned to its long-run trend in 2014 (the last year for which data are available). It is past time for productivity growth to have recovered; instead, it is sinking further.
>>1699765
>Pessimists think the productivity problem is chronic. Technological advances, they say, are ever-less revolutionary: Uber is less of an advance than the car itself, the smartphone has not changed office work the way the PC did. Nonsense, reply “techno-optimists”, who foresee huge advances in machine learning and robotics.
>For now, the data support the pessimists. The best measure of technological advance is total factor productivity, which measures output after controlling for both the number of workers and the amount of capital. In 2015 it grew by just 0.2%, compared with an average of 1.1% in the two decades prior to the financial crisis.

North Korea is lead by an autistic Communist dictator who is trying to continue Mao's planned culture/language activities.
The USA and Britain have been engaged in free and open trade of ideas since the beginning due to shared Anglo-Perfidy.

Any Jainists here? How does one go about properly practising this fascinating religion?

Sikhs believe that Jainism is the only major religion that doesn't provide a path toward spiritual liberation due to it's extreme asceticism.
It's Jains not jainists. I can only describe it as militant non violence.

Nah, they're just being cunts.
Academia has fads where people all pretend you HAVE to believe in X or Y but it's ultimately still the same "b-because we want it so" bullshit as always.
Why do people conflate Wahhabism with Islam? Wahhabis are not true Muslims. Islam is a complex religion with many great thinkers and sophisticated theology. You should get to know real Muslims, not just the nitwits who want to go back to the stone age.

>What does /his/ think of these guys?
Don't know them, but if the pic is anything to go by they must be some shitass power/fok metal band.
>Do any other bands make historical music exclusively?
There's many groups of musical historians who get together to make an album on a specific period, like Symphonia Panica, and many musicians who occasionally publish purely historical pieces like Werkraum, but I doubt any actual musician (rather than musical historian) exclusively focuses on historical pieces (well you know, before modern notation anyway, otherwise all classical music counts).
Sabaton are really fun and catchy. The only people who don't like them are killjoys. They get real samey though. No other band sounds quite like them but all their songs sound quite similar.
As far as historical themed metal goes I think the Gettysburg Trilogy by Iced Earth is pretty dope

Will getting really good at philosophy help you understand other subjects and more importantly scientific fields? Is the critical thinking that comes from it enough to make a difference?
Depends. Philosophers will zealously tell you that you literally cannot understand scientific fields without philosophy, but that is retarded. In more technical/mathematical fields it will help you in understanding why something logically follo and getting intuition about problems. But when you want to model shit, the best way to do it is by modelling shit (doing a lot of problems).
>>1694990
>But when you want to model shit, the best way to do it is by modelling shit (doing a lot of problems).
Of course but will philosophy help you solve them faster than if you didn't study it.
Nobody else?
