How did early humans get to islands like Australia? From what I've read they used boats, but isn't that a long distance, and how did they survive the voyage? How did they know there was going to be land?
>>1702784
>islands like Australia
>>1702784
land bridges nigga. its how we got to japan. not to mention that places like australia are reachable from island hopping the pacific.
The real question is how did kangaroos get to australia from noahs ark after the flood even though there is no fossil evidence of migrating kangaroos across the pacific :^)

Come to my country and visit the museum. In there they explain everything about life inside a XV century boat.
Is the number two real?
Looks legit but I'm not an expert
>>1702687
It is legit
t. An expert
There's no proof that 2 really exists.
>that house of God we just built is beautiful but I feel it's missing something
>I have an idea let's decorate the roofs with statues of demons, devils and pagan figures
What did the early medieval mean by gargoyles?
>>1702625
They look cool.
>>1702625
*early medieval church
>>1702633
I agree, but isn't it a bit like building a mosque and decorating it with statues of pigs?
I'm rather stumped on what to buy as far as educating myself on the whole of Russia. I want to have something brief/short and something relatively enjoyable to read.
If you have a selection that fits this criteria please post it here.
Thanks.
inb4 that one satire about russia with the 2 soldiers on the front iirc. a tale of something?

If you want to read about Soviet tyranny, you might read some Solzhenytsin.

How aware were people living in early agricultural communities of their hunter gatherer roots?
>>1702371
Depending on the community, if they had a rudimentary system of writing or had stuff to paint on they most likely had some records still around. In addition hunters would still be a necessity in early agricultural communities, as to meet the demand of short term foodstuffs.
Very aware. Very, very, very aware.
In most early agricultural communities, hunter gatherers were trading or settling down all of the time.
>implying they don't look better painted
>>1702264
they probably had a better paintjob though
I imagine they would look fairly lifelike
>>1702266
That is the 'better paintjob'.
These are the trace colors that survived, so a lot of articles show it as what the statues 'really looked like'. Most people that study it though think that these are just the base colors that were painted over in other layers for shading and such.
The first picture is what the statue likely looked like.
>implying they don't look better photoshopped
When the russians scorched their own land, did they do this with the consent of their peasants and relocate them to somewhere else?
Or did they just leave them to their own luck?
fuck peasants
>>1702059
>did they do this with the consent of their peasants
What do you think?
>>1702059
>consent of their peasants
Using the historical method there's no instance of medieval russia (large generalization, but all those divided mongol vassal states or the free one's to the north west) to enlightenment era Russia having nobles or their relative term asking peasants for permission for anything
I don't have the numbers but I'd reckon a majority of peasants were serfs whose land was owned by some higher official
Why do prodies think that Catholics going to church on Sundays is considered wrong?
Because they always have to do the opposite
Why do muslims fuck goats but not eat pork
I don't think any Kristians are against others going to curc on Sundays.
>not tonight Josephine
What did he mean by this?

i'm aware that the only reason he has so many good quotes is that he acted like an autist and spoke almost entirely in them but they are good quotes
