Jesus had a deeper understanding of human nature and of religion. What he did was a true revelation, of a truth hidden under hundreds of thousands of years worth of myth. And Christian philosophy embraces the individual, and individual responsibility.

Buddhism on the other hand seeks to deny human nature and destroy the individual. While it's similar in practice, it's far more shallow than Christianity.

Better example would be a Human Cell lines, that are literally cell culture that lives after your death. In a sense that is a true life after death.

Solitary confinement is well-known to destroy a person's personality, and dissociate them.

All I know is that my father's grandfather decapitated a German soldier with a scythe during WW2 for raping a village woman, then went to hide in the mountains for a few months. Then, when the Germans were retreating, he helped another German soldier get back to his unit.

My mother's father father grew up in Poland. He and his whole family survived the war intact, and he hated Jews with a passion. I wish I'd found out his opinion on the Holocaust, he probably thought they deserved lol RIP old man

The Sassanians were a massive pain in Rome's ass in the 200s and contributed largely to the Crisis of the 3rd century.

They don't seem to have been as energetic as they were by the 5th century though. Germanic tribes definitely dealt the death blow for the Western empire.
