Has anyone, at any point in history, even genuinely believed in Mormonism within the Mormon community? I find it hard to believe that such an organized religion would be accepted so widely right in the age of Enlighment.

Nothing in Moronism is any more stupid or obviously insane than mainstream christianity.

I do. If you want, I can stick around for an AMA about this subject.
What was the average eye and hair colour for Roman citizen around 0 AD? I've seen that most art depicts them with dark hair and eyes, but prominent figures such as Hitler said that they were Aryans until something happened to them.
>>1734491
They noted that the germans and gauls were taller, more muscular and lighter skinned than them. I like to imagine the average roman soldier looked like danny devito
>>1734491
>but prominent figures such as Hitler
I like Marini's depiction of the romans, with some having blonde or brownish hair, which was apparently the case for augustus or other figures, but the majority was probably mediterranean like.
Also fuck Arminius
If we had the power to, should we kill all psychopaths in an attempt to make the world a better place?
>>1732565
Fuckin certainly.
>>1732565
No. Psychopaths are what drive the world and bring innovation.
>>1732579
No. Psychopaths are what drive the world and bring suffering.
Do any of you lads have any good documentaries or books on the British Empire that portray Britain in a positive light? I'm sick of hearing how "evil" and "Racist" the empire was
>>1724088
Based Niall Ferguson
There are plenty.
Ignore any shit about them being evil or racist, literally only a man in denial can say that the British Empire didn't achieve some fucking incredible things.
Brutal, sure, but who the fuck wasn't then? If you were relevant, it's because you were better at fucking everyone up than someone else was.
This is coming from a Northern Irish republican who is sickened by the actions of the British and Unionists in Ireland, but also coming from someone who isn't a retard who can admit that without Britain the world would be extremely different and not for the better.
>>1724240
Can I just ask an Irish republican this, coming from a really patriotic english guy
Why are you still so obsessed with Irish independence despite the fact the Catholic and Protestant laws and bias are practically dead? Your people achieved way more in your union with us than before

>professor says "one of the government's roles in the economy is to create a legal framework for business, and in some cases, also create the physical framework for business. For example, the government creates roads which give businesses access to a large supply of potential customers. It is impossible for any private business to create roads, but nearly all businesses benefit from the existence of roads. So the government creates the roads which are then used by businesses to conduct activities for profit. The government then taxes that profit and uses it to maintain the roads.
What is the ancap counterpoint to this? Defend your meme-ideology.

Would anyone here be interested in seeing some specimens from an old curiosity collector's collection?
Mummy wrapping, plaster over linen. The yellow object in the middle is a crown, not clear why there's no head for it to rest on.

Back. This person wasn't the wealthiest, but he wasn't the poorest either. They at least had a little plaster to back the wrapping as well.
This one has two kneeling figures, one on the left rendered in pink w/ a black background, their arms held straight out, and another on to the right of the red square, rendered in white with a black background and their arms angled downward.
What are some /his/ approved games?
Paradox titles
Total War series
Assassin's Creed II, maybe Brotherhood and Black Flag
Now delete this thread.
I don't get the grand strategy game meme
Napoleon is best total war game and the most fitting era for a total war formula, as in little diplomacy a lot of wars mostly depending on smart and efficient manoeuvres in campaign map and tactical aspect in battles without much depth in governmental regard.

Have you ever fallen in love with someone from the past
Yes
I was at one point obsessed with Joan of Arc. I dreamed about fighting the English alongside her, and I tried building a time machine (out of a refrigerator box and an alarm clock) to save her from being burned at the stake.

Can anyone tell me what that site is with all the amazing historical maps? It's run by one guy, I kinda remember him like a history autist like Piero Scaruffi for music... come on, somebody must know what this site is with extremely well-organized maps and information of ancient civilizations

Is A History of the English-Speaking Peoples by Churchill a good read?
>>1682547
Currently on vacation in Greece and just started reading this.
Very interesting read, even more if you have the opportunity to visit some described sites in reallife right away!
Knossos is a joke btw, only fantasy park of an old Englishmen
Homo sapiens began about 200,000 BC
Ancient Egypt begins about 3,000 BC
WTF were we doing for ~197,000 years??? We just suddenly up and civilized?
>>1738995
Hold your horses there friend! We've had civilisation since around roughly 9000 bc, until then sure it was slow as all he'll, but don't forget that brain power was still evolving with each new thing we were discovering, like cooking meat for instance. Spreading the homo sapiens from Africa through to pretty much every corner on earth was also part of these achievements.
>>1738995
we were doing just fine until the hyper war happened
197,000 years we lived simple life where you don't need to work that much and everyone fucked each other in a free times. There is a reason why everyone whas okay with this deal, than civilicucks ruined everything.
