Was Milos a democracy when Athens attacked them in -416?
>>1739361
Unlikely. Most states were more like oligarchies. If they'd been in Athens' sphere of influence for decades it is possible though.

The Greek city states were black, we inventeed democracy.

How is a Muslim supposed to know the full stories of the Prophets when the Qur'an only makes passing reference to them and what they did?
It's written like it assumes that you have already read the Bible... even though the Bible has been "corrupted" according to Islam and it is haraam to take what is in it as truth
>>1739341
HOW ARE HAVING READ "THE BIBLE", AND RECOGNIZING ITS CORRUPT INTEGRITY, MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE, ACCORDING TO YOU?
DID YOU EVEN THINK BEFORE TYPING YOUR POST?
TO BE ABLE TO RECOGNIZE "THE BIBLE'S" CORRUPTNESS IT IS NECESSARY TO READ IT.
BEING ACQUAINTED WITH A TEXT DOES NOT ENTAIL ONE'S CONCURRENCE WITH ITS IDEAS.

Why shouldn't people be required to pass an exam or have some form of licensing in order to have kids?
I mean everyone has to have a license to drive a car, isn't it more dangerous to allow people to have children if they have the ability to ruin the kids lives?
>>1739283
>Why shouldn't people be required to pass an exam or have some form of licensing in order to have kids?
Because the United Nations made right to reproduction and female rights basic human rights.
>>1739325
This has nothing to do with female rights, or male rights - who is there to protect the rights of the child? If some hillbilly failures decide to have kids, then the kid won't exactly have a great life.

A NOBLE ETHOS MAKES AN OPTIMAL PARENT; ETHOS IS NOT MEASURED WITH TESTS.
THE STATE CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT CONCERN ITSELF WITH MICROMANAGING TRIVIAL ASPECTS OF THE CITIZENS' LIVES, BUT RATHER, IT SHOULD CONCERN ITSELF WITH ESTABLISHING AND DIRECTING THE GREATER GENERAL CURRENTS THAT INFORM THOSE TRIVIAL ASPECTS.
INSTEAD OF EVALUATING EACH INDIVIDUAL COUPLE OF POTENTIAL PARENTS, THE STATE SHOULD PRECLUDE THE POSSIBILITY OF INAPT COUPLES ENGENDERING, OR ADOPTING, CHILDREN VIA LAW, WHILST ALSO OFFERING SUBSIDIES TO APT COUPLES IF THEY ENGENDER, OR ADOPT, A CHILD.
OBVIOUSLY, THIS IN ADDITION TO POLICIES REGARDING GENETIC HEALTH.

So essentially he is talking about a more tribal society before government, only there's no real leadership since it's lolbertarianism.
What exactly occurs if someone decides to fuck the NAP, build a great tribe with strong leadership and roll over all the weaklings?
old senile faggots would need to be removed also
>Libertarianism is so fragile that anyone who expresses a dissenting opinion will lead to the breakdown of society

/his/ in view of Civ 6's impending release, I am making a mod for Civilization 2 that replaces all the leaders. Unlike later Civ games which have one or multiple leaders per civ, Civ 2 has one male or female option per Civ. Hence I need a woman option for each.
I am using pic related as a base. But given that the author is a filthy American and a progressive, its a little suspect for ideological bias. Hence, I will need recommendations for better choices based on following criteria:
1. Female rulers who were regnant or co-rulers in their own right (e.g. QE1, Catherine the Great, Isabella I etc.) or significant military or political leaders (e.g. Jeanne d'Arc, the Trung sisters etc.) Regents (e.g. Catherine d'Medici) or influential consorts (e.g. Gorgo or Theodora) are acceptable at a pinch. None of this moral and symbolic crap of putting famous artists/ecclesiastical or thought leaders.
2. They should have truly significant accomplishments or developments in their reign (even if they were mostly bad, incompetent or evil) and not just in because they are female.
3. Legendary or apocryphal female leaders like Dido, Jingu or Tomyris can be in if there are really no other options, but should not be a first pick.

From 1587-1632 Sigismund was ruler og the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and from 1592-1599 Sigismund was ruler of Sweden. During his reign of the three countries he tried to install a personal union between the Sweden and the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth. He would have been succsessful in this if it wasn't for his uncle Charles IX, who was able to depose Sigismund from the Swedish throne. Sigismund tried to retake the throne in the War against Sigismund, but was unsuccsessful.
He also tried to impose his rule in Moscovy during the Moscovite Times of trouble. He was able to take the take Moscow and hold it for two years. But was casted out by Russians who feared that he would be too untolerant of the orthodox faith, to be a good ruler for Moscovy.
If Sigismund had been succsessful in holding onto the Swedish and Moscovite thrones, then the four states Poland, Lithuania, Sweden and Moscovy would have been centralised into the Polish-Lithuanian-Swedish-Moscovite Commonwealth.
