Feminists of /his/: what definitions, to you, (or better, to most modern feminists) most closely align with the word "patriarchy"? And what successful societies have formed that weren't patriarchal? Pic unrelated.

>And what successful societies have formed that weren't patriarchal
The ones that existed for a majority of human time.

You didn't define patriarchy

I try to assess any side of an argument in order to give myself a more well rounded opinion on things. Examine all arguments and options.
But is there even really an argument against cultural appropriation besides "das racist?" I mean, there's a stark difference between forging Nigerian war medals and making tacos when you're not hispanic.
Furthermore, is there really any argument as to why you can't be racist towards white people besides "whities oppress people?"
People who think you can't be racist towards white people define racism as "power + racial prejudice", which they argue means being prejudiced against whites isn't racist because unlike whites, nonwhites don't have the power to use their prejudiced beliefs to oppress others, I guess. Something like that, I think.
Which clearly isn't true in many contexts and seems more like an attempt to redefine racism so that nonwhites can't be accused of it than anything else, but I don't know, I can't really recall the argument that well.

>making tacos when you're not hispanic.
That's not cultural appropriation. There's two types. the bad ones is when you scrub all signs of the original culture said thing originated form and revisionism to claim as yours solely. Everyone knows Pizzas are Italian but some fashion designer stealing designs from Africa and Asia (and there have been many cases) then not giving credit to the societies in those continent that they got inspired from.
It's imitating authenticity but also denying the authentic source credit and shallow in a way since it often involves a knee deep involvement. Like subcultures deal with it a lot where their subcultures clothing, hairstyle and lingo gets stripped of all meaning and sanitized for mainstream consumption but no additional meaning or depth is given.

Thus people are dealing with cultural skeletons so to say.
How did Israel manage to capture territory from three different nations? And in only six days?

First of all they had the element of surprise since it was a preemptive strike, second their enemies' armies were not only not as advanced but also very unorganized
Arabs are embarrassingly bad at war. Some dude who works for the state department wrote a whole treatise on it that gets posted her time to time.
Modern Muslim armies are notorious for lacking tactical flexibility and initiative in their officer corps and chain of command, so when the Israeli's struck they were caught completely off balance. After all, this wasn't supposed to happen in their plan
Why is sex considered decadence by the puritans?
I can understand drugs and laziness being decadent, but sex is a wonderful thing that, done right, causes no harm
What's decadent about wanting lots of sex with beatiful women/men?

I can explain it to you, but it might take a while.
It has to do with the very basis of our civilization.
Man at some point in the chalcolithic age or before that made up the concept of property. They started calling a house, tools, servants, lands, crops, animals and a ton of other things their own. They defended their property with fists, laws, and wars. One central concept that stems from this time is marriage - the idea that a woman is bound to a husband and can only have children with him. I believe the first forms of this were polygamy with one man and a bunch of women, which turned into the monogamy that we know today over millenia.
Are you seriously trying to tell me this isn't a single continent?

Why didn't Christianity take off in East and Southeast Asia like it did in the rest of the world? With the exceptions of the Philippines and mentally ill people like Hong Xiuquan and contemporary Korean Protestants, it seemed not to have any staying power.
It's infinitely superior to their other choices like Islam (literally a copy of Christianity the arabs made because they felt left out), Hinduism (lol), and Buddhism (pretentious, nonsensical bullshit that basically advocates there's no difference between life and death). Are asians just too fucking stupid to not get anything that's not literally spelled out for them?
>>1820993
Nestorian christianity was fucking big in Asia. Genghis Khan's foster father was a Christian along with his 100k+ tribe. The European missionaries to the court of Kublai spoke of thousands of eastern Christians in the Mongol state. One of them even made a pilgrimage to the West and ended up performing a mass alongside the pope in Rome
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabban_Bar_Sauma
Then it dwindled for a variety of reasons. First it was sponsored by the Sassanids who got beaten by the Muslims. Then it was really popular in Tang China, but later backlash against Buddhism hit all other foreign religions. Then the Mongols spread it, but after the Mongols assimilated to conquered cultures, they abandoned it.
So yeah.
>(literally a copy of Christianity the arabs made because they felt left out),
But anon, there were plenty of Christian Arabs. It's been suggested that Muhammad wanted to reform and re-introduce Ebionite Christianity rather than form a new faith.

Is this another wishful thinking Russian propaganda, trying to present themselves as super stronk?
By the later stages, Napoleon III was gifiting the South some money for them to be kept in the war that little longer, so that he'd be able to pursue his ambitions in Mexico free from American intervention.
The war did end though and the French soldiers had to be rushed back home.

Jack Ruby, was a jewish gangster that worked under Capone in Chicago. During that period he was employed by the FBI to fight against German American NAZI groups.
Then he moves to Dallas. Where he deals Mexican drugs out of his night club. He also has a connection to a Cuban mob boss from pre Castro Cuba. Even took a trip to Cuba in 59.

Didn't Diogenes masturbate in public on a regular basis?
Every today unanimously call Hitler's invasion of the Soviet Union a terrible idea, but no German at the time thought the Russians were going to do anything but roll over and die.
The Germans invaded right at the end of the Great Purge and paid careful attention to the Soviet Union's disastrous invasion of Finland. By all accounts, at the beginning of the war, the Germans definitely had better equipment too. They had no qualms about rounding up and killing partisans, and the Lithuanians/Ukrainians were more than eager to expel the communists.
So, with that all said, how the fuck did the Ruskies pull up one of the greatest military upsets in history?
I'd like this discussion to also extend to the Eastern Front in general (strategy, various battles, ect).
90% of all Soviet equipment and infastructure was provided by the US. Without it the Soviets literally would've rolled over and died, like they were doing until winter despite outnumbering the Germans 12 to 1.
The first and greatest communist state owes its continued existence to a capitalist state. Why are commies such beta losers?
>>1801072
>The first and greatest communist state owes its continued existence to a capitalist state. Why are commies such beta losers?
Because Churchill wanted the Soviet Union to enter the war on behalf other Allies since like day one, to remove the threat of German invasion of England.
>>1801060
Because the German preparations were predicated that if you bashed the Soviets enough, they would fold the way they did in WW1.
They didn't.
And when they don't, you've got a problem. Trying to occupy the USSR is like trying to occupy the Atlantic ocean. There just aren't enough men and things are too spread out for it to be practical. Yeah, they had no qualms about rounding up and killing partisans. Guess what? Partisan attacks kept increasing in frequency, not decreasing. Yeah, the Germans kept pushing ahead for roughly 18 months, but each kilometer became harder and harder, especially as the Soviets tore up track and hauled away rolling stock. It got so bad that by the time they cleared the Pripet, it took a liter of fuel just to ship a second liter of fuel to the front lines. And all the force in the world doesn't matter if you cant' effectively project it to the center of mass of the enemy, and the Germans just couldn't.
The Soviets won WW2 with Stalins' centralization of absolute power around himself in the 30s. Once that happened, it would take a hell of a lot more resources than the Germans could muster to put them down.
Why and how did men stop being recognized, both legally and culturally, as the heads of the family?
