>God stays in heaven

Yes i know. The true is that i am a shit typing.
Post what you want to read about here and maybe some anons can recommend books they have read.
/his/, I'm looking to read about the french revolution and the Napoleonic wars. Any good recommendations?
I'm looking at the /his/ reading guide right now and Citizens: A Chronicle of the French Revolution seems to be what I'm looking for, minus the Napoleonic wars. I might start with that.
/his/ resource I'm talking about: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Rq0gUUpoI1Xi_NKpt7iuUdU2xdQzbwSu-g2BzpG_JBc/edit#heading=h.g77xivirfjyv

Old English sounds beautiful and it sucks that it mutated to this Latinized/Germanic hybrid with too many contradictions.
>religion is the opiate of the masses
Fuck yes.
Does /his/ agree?
>>1826767
No. Opiates, Marijuana, Alcohol, Sex, Video Media, and Lies are. Marx hated Christianity specifically and religion in general because his father outwardly converted to Lutheranism for business. This is also probably why he despised capitalism.
>>1826767
If misused yes,but the moral values it often provides enriches society. Take a look at communist Russia when it was atheist,it completely ruined the population ,even today. People have no shepard who can guide them. Now if the shepard is leading them to the slaughter house that's another story. I would say that if people were more intelligent there wouldn't be a need for religion.
Marxism is the opium of intellectuals.

But seriously, don't make unnecessary threads like these. It's annoying even for a Mussoliniboo like me.

All I know is that he's always been labelled as a fascist. He helped improve employment but also enforced censorship.
Besides the censorship can someone explain what he did that was so bad? Whenever I look him up I get long rants about his dates in office, but they don't go into what he actually did.
Why is he so famous and why is he hated?
>Implying it wasn't more than excused for what the Nazis did in Stalingrad and Kursk
Two wrongs don't make a right.
That said, committing that first wrong makes everyone not care when you get raped.

What does /his/ think of David Irving?
>>1826543
He brings to mind the phrase "A stopped clock is right twice a day".
He's a decent archivist, but he's not really a historian, as from the first, his works have been wrought with bias and revisionism in the most pejorative sense of the word. He cannot resist his urge to make Hitler the good guy, and will twist facts when necessary to make Hitler seem cleaner or make contemporaries seem dirtier. He will outright lie about his sources, or make up facts to get there.
However, he was right about a couple of things, almost incidentally. He worked out that the Allies cracked the Enigma code well before it was officially disclosed, but at least to me, that doesn't make up the balance for his other patent nonsense, like how Dresden had 10,000,000,000 people killed, or how the Holocaust happened, but Hitler didn't know anything at all about it.
>>1826636
show me one document that proves Hitler knew about it
>>1826649
I'll do that as soon as you bring up a document proving that Churchill arranged for the death of Władysław Sikorski.
Tell me about the Hollywood Blacklist. Was there really a threat coming from those communist actors? Was McCarthy right?
>right wing in the US suffers a huge political blow after it turns out that FDR was right about literally everything
>seize upon popular fear of a foreign enemy to label their enemies as traitors
>>1826453
McCarthy has nothing to do with the Hollywood blacklist. He's a senator, the blacklist came from HUAC.
There were communist agents everywhere.
During WW2, the US would literally let any Russian hop off a plane or boat and just dissapear into the continental US, no keeping track. Just read about some of the shit the Commies pulled off on their efforts to get ahold of data from the Manhattan Project.
Let's talk the British Isles, /his/.
Specifically, I want to know which group came out the best from English conquering, as well as which put up better fights.
The big contenders are Scotland and Ireland, but I'm curious about Wales too.
Who came out on top, and who fought back the hardest?
>>1826452
id say scotland put up the best fight before the 1800's then that goes to ireland. id say wales came out he best
>>1826465
Arabs and Pakis have active colonies within Britain right now.
Britons: JUST
Romans: quitters
Anglo-Saxons: cultural hegemony
Vikings: Anglo-Saxons 2: Electric Boogaloo
Normans: Vikings who racemixed with Franks, brought civilization to the isles then racemixed with Anglo-Saxons
Wales: see Britons
Ireland: see Britons
Picts: what
Scots: lowlanders are basically northern northerners; for highlanders see Britons

does someone know the first panzer group where the Jagdtiger was implemented?
>>1826223
AFAIK, it's s.Pz.Jäg.Abt.653, in September of 1944, right after Beylorussia had driven them all the way across the Vistula.
>>1826223
The first three Jagdtiger, with the chassis number 305006-305008, were assigned to the 500 Ausbildungs- und Reserve-Bataillon for training in 3.- 20. September. The unit that was trained, was the 1. and 3. Kompanie of the schwere Panzerjäger-Abteilung 653
>>1826223
Not sure where they sent them first OP, but if you want to know about them in service try looking at Albert Ernst. He commanded a company of Jagdtigers in 1945.
If we were to make the perfect society based on the best trait of every civilization that ever existed, which things would you take from every culture?
It can be a virtue,a form of government or even a particular piece of armor. For example, the Egyptians knew how to use proportions of space to create beautiful landscapes. You can contribute with one or several different examples.
Ottoman sunnism as state religion and theology.
>>1826150

I'd take the robots from Japan. 0 humans = perfect society.
Was Istanbul ever sieged by a Christian force after its fall in 1453

Yeah you just surrendered and gave the city up without a fight. Good one.
Greeks tried to take back Anatolia after WWI, but I don't think they got anywhere close to Constantinople.
