These are actually problems, they're just not exclusive to Jews. And back in the day Jews didn't own land, they just did usury, which was exclusive to Jews. You also have the white-washing by media giants as production of goods becomes increasingly centralized around just a few corporations, and they're the same ones who fund our media, so they're not going to talk about the environmental impacts of their production and often block news outlets from discussing those issues.

Politics plays a role in this too, as one half of our political system became Reaganomics which supported these big business endeavors with massive tax breaks which were in the name of fighting stagflation. As these Republican ideals formed a cohesive bond with donations from these massive business conglomerates, trade-protectionism became a key part of rhetoric. And along with all of that, it became taboo to talk about environmental issues, because we needed "strong business" to fight those evil commie bastards. Thus, caring about the environment became equated with communism and hippies. And to add to this, many of the "hippies" movements lost their leaders (assassination) as well as achieving their goals (civil rights), so the hippie movements who also supported environmental issues lost a lot of their steam for progress. We only see a current resurgence thanks to the digital age.

I have been reading Dostoevsky and it has been really affecting me. I feel the kind of religion he is talking about is very different from the kind I have exposed to. Why/how did orthodox christianity get so different? Any book recs?

Two novels I'd recommend

The Way of a Pilgrim: this is a very mystical novel that was found in a Greek monastery. It is about a homeless wanderer in 19th Century Russia seeking to learn the secret of perpetual prayer, to be able to pray every waking and sleeping second.

Laurus: this is a relatively recent novel from Russia. It's about a man who falls into fornication (monogamous, loving fornication, but still fornication) that leads to catastrophic consequences, and how that in turns leads him to a path of repentance that makes him a holy fool. A holy fool is a special concept in Orthodoxy, here is an example of an actual one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basil_Fool_for_Christ

You're probably familiar with the concept from Dostoevsky. Stinking Lizaveta was seen as a Holy Fool in the Brothers Karamazov, which accentuates the horrific nature of her being raped.

Like for instance, in one month they can make 1.5 thousand Abrahms tanks. That could actually rival the entire planets production, but they couldn't get a decisive victory from those tanks in the first month, and after like 3-4 months all countries would be in total war.

They could also riposte a lot of missiles and whatnot, and maybe even sustain a war against the planet for a year at most (if everybody else completely botches the cruise missile/air war on u.s. homeland, which they probably wouldnt, not to mention sleepers), but they can't blitzkrieg the entire planet.

Nationalism, globalism, political ideologies and parties, socioeconomic systems, just look at how the Believers of these structures act, the mechanisms of control that act upon them, and you will see the truth of this. The Enlightenment myth is that we are rational actors, able to judge claims and ideas by reason alone, that being in error is merely a matter of ignorance, not having enough information. The reality is that we are usually ruled by our emotions, especially when our beliefs and perceptions are deeply ingrained. Because we are immersed in these systems of control our entire lives, we do not know otherwise, the illusion if our own agency can be maintained. We are able to choose between a vast array of products and services.

The economic world is effectively owned and/or controlled by large corporations and banks - socioeconomic entities that only have the purpose of persistence and profit. Even their investors are enthralled, owned by ownership. We are immersed in consumer culture, from our birth we are bombarded by advertisements, marketing messages, and consumer media from all directions. It conditions us to focus on consumption, to love it. It plays on our basic reward and punishment mechanisms, giving buy highs, "buyer's remorse" and envy for not having. All of Maslow's hierarchy, every possible need is being serviced, including ones that cannot be commodified: buy this and you will be popular and belong, buy this and you will have self esteem and confidence, buy this and you will be like this celebrity, buy this will make you a good person in whatever way. Love and worship this celebrity, or hate and despise them, check out New Movie by Guy Everyone Loves. Just like religion hijacks all of human experience, so does consumer culture.
