How does /his/ rate this movie? Historically accurate?
>>1913667
Its a case study of a medal of honor recipient. It details what he actually did, so obviously it is historically accurate.
The guy was a seventh day evangelist who became a combat medic and won the medal of honour on Okinawa.
I haven't seen the movie.
>>1913671
Are you being sarcastic? Because it totally could be very inaccurate.
Other from the occasional muslim country in the north, were there any actual nations in Africa before colonization? How big was population before white men settled in Africa? What about density? Did white men actually strip black africans from their lands or did native africans live in small groups spread throughout the continent?
>>1913646
>were there any actual nations in Africa before colonization
yes, many
but what do you consider an "actual nation"

Something organized, with thousands of people. Not just small village or tribe.
Why is Kyrgyzstan such a neglected country?
I think it's one of the most beautiful and interesting countries in the world.
Have any of you swines even heard of the ethnic tension in the region?
>in before mongoloid sympathizer
>I see no mongols here
>>inferring mongols even have internet
Anyone got a theory as to why everyone around Uzbekistan hates Uzbekistan?
man I wonder what it must feel like to have been born in leningrad, raised there, and then be relocated to Kyrgyzstan because your parents took a job there, live through the entirety of the USSR, only to retire to some dilapidated commie block there on a pension of 100 euros a month
must feel weird

it's the most populated country in Central Asia, twice the population of say Kazakhstan on 1/6th of it's territory.
Some percentage of uzbeks keep migrating into bordering countries and Russia sometimes creating tensions.

Jesus youtube comments are always such a clusterfuck but they talk about interesting things sometimes. All the Indians commenting are for the most part really against the idea that indo-european people exist, and really for the idea that "aryans", those who composed the vedic texts and spoke sanskrit, originated in and never left India. A lot of others are very supportive of the idea of indo-europeans and the aryans being ancestors of both India and Europe. As for the guy in the video himself, both sides seem to hate him; Indians are accusing him of being an outsider and talking about their culture as if he knows shit, and others are saying he's too leftist. It was sort of hard for me to follow what he was actually saying.
Anyway the point of this thread is that, as a layman, I really don't know what to believe. Who are the aryans/indo-europeans? Does European culture and Indian culture have its roots with them? Or were they just Indians always?
>>1913583
Indian here. We use the term aryan differently from the term indo-european.
Also for some reason the racial and linguistic work of the 19th century was somehow important to India's freedom struggle. Since everything related to the freedom movement is sacred, IE gandhi did no wrong, congress was god, et al. Our political and social system is still stuck in the 19th century belief that sanskrit is the mother of all european languages and Indo-europeans originated from India.
You know how South Koreans believe that Jesus, the Buddha, and confucious were korean? Its the same with indo -europeans being ethnic indians.
>>1913641
So you're saying a lot of india is wewuzing? Where did sanskrit come from then, had to be somewhere, and there must be a reason the consensus among linguists is that it's related to Iranian and all the European lamguages.
>>1913654
>wewuzing
pretty much yeah.
Indian nationalists are still stuck in the 19th century Indophiles singing praise about India because it serves as the best possible smokescreen to their incompetence.
>government not providing large scale fiber optics to increase internet penetration
>better talk about how the mahabharata totally had livestreaming
When you read about some Indian minister say something about how India was flying UFOs in the vedic age, you have to remember that they are talking to their voter base of recently urbanized youth who have been recently educated and don't possess the ability to parse information. The absolute shambles the Indian education system is in doesn't help either since it absolutely shuts down critical thinking.
would you own a lion if you were a great general
if it was a zombie apocalypse and i was black, sure why not?
> lion
> not direwolf
no, it would be an extravagance and I would lose the respect of my officers
Why do the dead sea scrolls make no mention of Jesus despite being buried 30-40 years after his supposed death?
>>1913429
Because they were focused on Eva newfag.
>>1913429
that´s only the estimated burial date, probably the texts are older
>>1913429
Because a bunch of probably Essenes didn't much care about yet another THE END IS NIGH preacher.

How are flails any more useful than a mace?
i think with the chain you can bend the weight around a shield or something and hit them, while the mace can be blocked a bit easier
plus the extra force from swinging the weight around must make it hit harder

>>1913228
Aren't you also at a way higher risk of hitting yourself though?
Smartest person ever? Seems to be between Leibniz and Da Vinci

What do Jews think about the rest of the world not believing in their one God?
They're not proselytic at all, yet one would think that being surrounded by a world who is in the wrong would turn you into one.
jews have been only pretending to be religious for like 1100 years now. all of them except for the hemetics.
>>1913007
They don't believe in it either.

They are not even real Jews.
That's one of the weirdest things about Judaism. And it might tell us a lot about the Jews.
The idea that they're in the know and feel too good about themselves in knowing, not having any desire to convince others otherwise.
To entrench themselves as the privileged class, to view certain lives as expendible.
Like in America, Jews, through the media, they'll have you almost believe this is their land and you're just a visitor.
What is the purpose of majoring in philosophy or history in the year 2016?
Why didn't you degree in something useful?
>>1913003
>something useful
This statement has no meaning.
>>1913016
Is that what you've learned from your philosophy degree?
Science is yet to conquer consciousness, my dude. Philosophy has the best handhold.
In other words, it's best we continue to understand who we are.

How do I become a General in the US Army? I want to serve my country and be remembered like these men:

>go to college and join an ROTC program
>kiss ass to get from O-1 to O-3
>play politics from O-3 up
>chances improve significantly if you have a pussy or have a melanin proficiency

You have to graduate from West Point.
I know a guy from my high school who got in.
He was super-duper smart. If he ends up running the country I'd be fine with it.
>>1912798
Why West Point? Many Generals didn't go to there.
