Who was in the wrong here?
In my opinion pakis, how does every religios group but muslims can live relatively peacefully in india.
>>2022043
The United Kingdom, actually.
Granting Muslims their own state only served the reinforce their identities as "Muslims" rather than "Indians", which inevitably led to national disunity.
That being said, what is done is done, and we're pretty much left with a perpetual South Asian powderkeg.

The people who live in the Middle East are solely to blame for the Middle East being of a complete mess.
That country would be a totally different place by now.

This was, for me, what got me settled firmly on Orthodoxy as opposed to Catholicism. You simply can't refute it. The Historical Gap Argument says that the Catholic Church's notion of the Early Church as being a single, corporate structure united under the authoritarian totalitarian leadership of the Pope of Rome as Christ's Vicar on Earth doesn't hold weight simply because no one from the Early Church mentions it. We see this version of Christianity first referred too really in the sixth century, and only really beginning to take off in the seventh. Up until then, there are only a couple-dozen references from the same guys about the Church looking like this, quotes that Catholics love to float about, but that simply don't erase the hundreds of thousands of writings we have from then that DON'T mention it. This would not have been a minor issue to be glossed over. This would not have been just the talk of the day. It would have defined Christianity at its core, as a very religion. And yet, it simply doesn't seem to pop up, except for in a couple dozen or so isolated references that you'll find Catholics shouting everywhere. What we DO seem to find plastered everywhere is the notion of the Church as a disorganized, locally-focused religion united under the tutorship of the Local Bishop, equal to all other Bishops, which is the structure of the Orthodox Church right up until the present day. When presented with this argument, the Catholic will usually simply claim that there was no point in pointing out the obvious, that it was so obvious that the Church was like that that no one ever felt the need to notice it - an argument, in other words, that amounts to a steaming pile of horseshit. If not, they'll say that it actually WAS the way The Orthodox claim it was, but "Jesus didn't intend it to be like that" in other words an even oozier pile of horseshit. If you really do believe that the Early Church looked like that, please tell me why I can't read about it.

The primacy of Rome did not exist until after the fall of the Western empire, the patriarch of Constantinople was the first among equals, including Rome.
Even the Catholic church teaches this.
I stopped reading your post after that.

Is Zionism historically justified, /his/
>>2026102
I think it's reasonable for every major cultural/ethnic group to want a homeland (the key word being "major" -- Kalmykia would not make a viable country). So in that sense, Zionism is justified.
Whether their homeland should've been Palestine is up for debate, however.
>>2026102
nothing is historically justified.
You're gay, tsar.
Has state run media historically been bad or good?
Now by media I am just under the assumption that you are referring to the the news media. If the media is run by the state then there is a conflict of interest to always show the state, or a certain faction of the state, in the best light possible.
>>2026013
state-run bad, public funded good
Go study the history of the media and public relations in america and then you can come wine about breibart.

But why would communism not be focused on industry and producing economic value? That's the entire point.

Estonia has really good flag. The color scheme is unique and elegant. Could be nordic cross, but its alright, as it is. Would you prefer to use lions that they stole from danish? That would be pure meme and boring as fuck.
Latvia is *meh*, but I don't know how it could really be saved. There is no good symbols to use look at abomination of their coat of arms.
Lithuania is a shame. They should use the guy of horse, maybe some other symbol that like double cross or Columns Gediminas. There is no excuse for random colors here.

Should we rebuild magnificent historic structures?
Culturally significant structures are timeless and priceless and worth it

What do you mean 'we'? Do you have the money for that kind of shit? I most definitely do not
I'd rather people built new, cooler things. like a giant trap and treasure filled 3D concrete labyrinth in the canadian wilderness or something.
noooo instead we gotta spend that money rebuilding stuff that people already abandoned centuries ago because "muh heritage" and for facebook selfie backgrounds and such. people like you make me sick.
