How is this nation allowed to exist?
Almost every state has a different language, culture, religion and people.
Is it just a British invention? Has there ever been a historical concept of an India which supports its present borders?
Yes.

On the eve of the first world war a map of the world had shown that colonial European powers had either through direct colonization or influencing the nations of Africa and Asia exhausted all possible areas of the word to extract raw materials. This was problematic for the system of capitalism since capitalism demands a growing market to both extract raw material for manufacturing and selling the manufactured product to new consumers. During this period the heightened nationalism in Europe had led to aggressive mercantilism i.e. high tariffs on imports, protectionism etc. Since a free market could not possibly exist the only alternative to expand the market to increase the wealth of the bourgeoisie was to use the coercive power of the state to take their rival's colonies in order to increase their own wealth.

Stop writing lenin and rosa-chan fan fiction, they were wrong about pretty much everything
I'm pretty sure it was some slav shooting the Archduke that caused WWI
It wasn't real capitalism
Real capitalism hasn't been tried
How do prisoners not die of boredom?
By playing card games.

I remember reading a WWII memoir where one camp held literal rat races and inmates bet on them with whatever.

By having fun? Making games and rituals out of the little stuff. Ivan Denisovich is a good example.

Why is the Catholic Church so much more logical than dumb Orthodoxy? Name one important post-schism Orthodox philosopher, scientist, linguist, etc. You can't, because the Orthodox are a bunch of anti-science morons, who literally boast of being "anti-modernity". No wonder the dumb (and ironically enough, modernist) "alt-right" loves them!

Why isn't the Fertile Crescent fertile anymore?
It's fertile for the level of population present during the time periods usually thought of whence referring to that part of the earth as the fertile crescent.

Over-irrigation, rising sea levels and soil degradation

This.
Didn't climate change play a bit of a role as well? North Africa used to be a rather fertile region but it seems like most of the greenery is now gone. Is that due to the same reasons as in the Fertile Crescent?
Why is this wall built this way?
Why are the bricks so flat?
Why are there gaps at the bottom?
Why are there three rows of flat bricks at the bottom alternated with three rows of large stone blocks?

I've been thinking lately.
How different things would be if the Ottomans took up Christianity?
Would they have collapse?
Would they have been considered a continuation of the Byzantine/Roman empire with a new dynasty?
I think the Balkans would have been a lot less messy, and maybe there wouldn't have been such an outcry for independence.
They probably would have made easier alliances and been an even bigger nemesis to Persia.
>Would they have been considered a continuation of the Byzantine/Roman empire with a new dynasty?
The pope once offered this them exact deal so yes.
>I think the Balkans would have been a lot less messy, and maybe there wouldn't have been such an outcry for independence.
Serbs and Greeks probably still would have hated it.
Croats would have become Ottoman collaborators of the highest order.
>>2030837
Why would they do that?
It really depends when the Ottomans adopt it in this scenario desu.

What is a good book on the different tactics used during and around WW2?
It's the first time armies became really mobile, it was the death of static line warfare.
WW2 is the 'birth' of modern war as we know it, aswell as full combined arms (army, navy, air force). In WW1 planes were still experimental but in WW2 planes were a huge fucking deal and very important.
>>2030768
That's a pretty long title for a book.
>>2030768
Just to be picky I'd say that combined arms is infantry, armour and air instead of naval.
Why should we believe God?! I am sure that with his level of power he can cover up all his lies and all his crimes perfecty. I am sure that every rape, every murder were commited not without a direct assistance from such being. Maybe, under most direct control. Think about it. Woud you stop the crimes if you got even a tiny fraction of the divine powers or would you just watch as they happen?
Because it's a fact.
How does /his/ interpret the Book of Job?
Why was Job tested when God is omniscient and can see how humans will act in the future (see Genesis when He tells Rebekah that Jacob will be more successful than Esau)?
When God concedes that Job was undeserving of his torture, does that mean that God supports criticism of Himself, or was he mistaken in his actions? If God can be less correct than a man, what does this say about the extent of God's knowledge/power?

Non-apologist answer: The Bible was written by different people in different situations with different ideas of what God was like. It's not a novel, it's a collection of ancient tales.

>Not gaining all your knowledge of history and philosophy from wikipedia articles
Do brainlets actually read stuffy philosophy for hours and hours while a 3 paragraph summary on wikipedia will do the same?
wikipedia can be extremely biased.
especially when it comes to religion or God, most articles are done by atheists with an agenda
but for video games or small subjects wikipedia is fine.
