Did she actually have anything to do with Britain's success during her reign?
>>2078294
It's hard to say exactly how much unofficial power she wielded behind the scenes, but the monarch was *mostly* a figurehead by that point. That said, she enjoyed almost unprecedented sustained popularity over the course of her very long reign, and probably did a lot to bring (and keep) the country together in some VERY eventful times. It's not like she led Britain's armies or plotted out economic policy or anything, but that ain't nothing.
She was better than her last 3 predecessors by a wide margin. Her Uncles had been profligates & voluptuaries and at least one was mentally unsound whereas she was a queen of such probity, grace & respectability that she was almost universally beloved. She knew not to be wasteful or a source of scandal, to trust the talented men who worked for her (England's political aristocracy at the time was second to noun, she enjoyed the services of a long succession of fabulously gifted prime ministers under her reign. Melbourne, Palmerston, Gladstone, Disreali, Salisbury), and to work tirelessly at the duties entrusted to her.
All in all she was a fantastic monarch who performed her somewhat limited role judiciously which helped facilitate the tremendous growth of English commerce & power during her reign.

For some reason people who are masters of theory often suck in practice. Rousseau wrote elaborate books about child rearing while his kids IRL ended up in the orphanage.

So the Inca's had a centrally planned economy with absolutely no money used anywhere. Some may confuse this with socialism or communism but for those educated enough to know why it isn't, what other aspects of the Incan economy do you find interesting?

> Autochthonic (auto-ko-thonic): Native to the place inhabited, i.e.; indigenous.
What do you think, /his/? Islam that is indigenous, as opposed to Orthodox and Mecca-centric, รก la the Lutheran Churches (Church of England, Church of Sweden, Church of Denmark), disestablished from Rome.
> Autochthonic Islam: Islam disestablished from Mecca.
With new Mecca's: Kairouan for the Malikis, Harer for the Shafi'is, Damascus for the Hanifis, and Isfahan for the Jaffaris.
I'm just sharing the concept, I don't think there's a snow ball's chance in the Sahara it would happen.

How can any monotheistic religion be considered as such? Before Judaism, even Jews had multiple gods.
Or, perhaps, Zeyla for the Shafi'is, since it's a coastal city and Shafi'is live in every corner of the Indian Ocean.
Habesha (Abyssinian) Muslims themselves considered Harer the fourth holy city of Islam, after Al-Quds (Jerusalem), Yathriib a.k.a. Medinaat-Rasuhl a.k.a. Medina, and of course; Mecca.
>>2078139
You're right. I never understood how England had its own Church when God created all the world.
Religion has always been part of nationalism and nativism, and monotheism is no exception. It doesn't have to make sense as long as people believe it.
Religion is what is believe, not what is rationalised.
When did you realize there is no great world conspiracy and that strange decisions throughout history have simply been a result of cock-ups and ignorance?
the elite cooperate on some level or another, not even being a conspiritard but shit like bilderberg, trilateral, OPEC and all of the think tanks associated with them they don't even try to hide
When my boss who has worked in finance told me about the "big guys" that trade daily for billions of dollars.
They could simply fuck up countries for kek, which they would do. Sell billions worth of currency, total chaos.
But i think its illegal today, but used to be total chaos.
All conflict etc are because of keks and simple decisions by a dumbperson.
Politicans arent as smart as people believe them to be

Yeah but then you have to realize that they all have allegiances to their own countries and despite the fact they seem to cooperate, they're all playing for their own national interests as well
Italians don't care much about British politics, but the British prime minister certainly cares about his/her legacy and what his/her people think
So what are these?
They've been found in Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa.
There's so many of them that estimates based on density suggest millions, but no two of them have been found to be identical.
Also, archeology suggests that despite the walls being too tall to easily climb over, there were no doors.
They're obviously forts. Those are bailies. Having doors in bailies just creates a weak point. You just use a ladder and planks and stow stuff in whatever baily belongs to you. Wouldn't surprise me if there were coverings for some, but they might have just used leantos or whatever inside.

Like, I know that some protestant groups want to trigger the end times by getting the Jews to rebuild the temple.
Is just weird is all. That some of these protestant groups are some of the most zealous Zionists on earth.
Is it really that surprising?

>By the early 1980s, the Bakkers had built Heritage USA in Fort Mill, South Carolina (south of Charlotte), then the third most successful theme park in the U.S., and a satellite system to distribute their network 24 hours a day across the country. Contributions requested from viewers were estimated to exceed $1,000,000 a week, with proceeds to go to expanding the theme park and mission of PTL.[5] In justifying his use of the mass media, Bakker responded to inquiries by likening his use of television to Jesus's use of the amphitheater of the time. "I believe that if Jesus were alive today, he would be on TV", Bakker said.[this quote needs a citation]
>From 1984 to 1987, Bakker and his PTL associates sold $1,000 "lifetime memberships," which entitled buyers to a three-night stay annually at a luxury hotel at Heritage USA. According to the prosecution at Bakker's later fraud trial, tens of thousands of memberships had been sold, but only one 500-room hotel was ever completed. Bakker sold more "exclusive partnerships" than could be accommodated, while raising more than twice the money needed to build the actual hotel. A good deal of the money went into Heritage USA's operating expenses, and Bakker kept $3.4 million in bonuses for himself.

Mostly, they tried to fight off the Japs in places like Papua New Guinea.
Presumably the Japanese would have overextended their supply lines and ultimately lost whatever forces that committed to the campaign.
