What do you think of Mary, /his/?
not a virgin
Mary was a great woman, very virtuous. Banged by God
poor widow, her son turned out a hippie
Today, everybody cynical as shit, but back then.
You had utopianists. People thinking WW1 was the last war. You could have been part of a movement to free the entire world from *insert thing here*.
People being optimistic about a world revolution/new world order. Must have been interesting.
Imagine having Obamabums and Trumplets for every single marginal political party across the entire European continent.
>WE WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING JUST GIVE US POWER
good Lord
what if we could have trump's policies on immigration, gun-rights, and foreign policy, and have obama's policies on EPA, health-care, and social policy.
>>2102528
>foreign policy
I'd rather not have trumps foreign policy, thanks.
What version of the Holy Bible should I read, /his/?
ESV and the Lexham Bible version, they're up-to-date with the textual research and implement the Dead Sea Scroll manuscript into certain verses of the bible.
>>2102513
Only the clergy should be allowed to read the Bible to be quite honest with you.
Codex Sinaiticus faggot
Will China ever be as glorious ever again?
>>2102512
The glorious dynasties of Chinkdom are usually preceded by a tyrannical kind before the good times start rolling in.
>Good Dynasty: Han
Preceding tyranny: Qin.
>Good Dynasty: T'ang
Preceding tyranny: Sui
>Good Dynasty: ???
Preceding tyranny: PRC.

>However exciting you think that subject is probably doesnt match up with reality
between the spartacus uprising and the beer hall putsch and all the essentially gang battles between the brown shirts and communist and the Friekorps, it sounds pretty exciting to me
I hate to ask, but is there a mega archive of newspaper articles world wide somewhere? Like if you could get newspapers from 1932 and read about gangs and stuff. When I was a kid, newspapers were available on microfilm at libraries, but I live in America.
Why has the US historically used insurance to cover health care costs? Isn't the point of insurance to cover medical emergencies? Has there never been any thought to something like NHS? What's the point if people can just get kicked off or can go bankrupt paying the insurance company after some catastrophe because otherwise their care costs more than their premiums?
From what i can gather, obama seems fairly intelligent but he was basically prevented from doing fuck all in improving the system. Can a yank explain any of this to me?
>>2102435
Because that's socialism and socialism is evil and a Jewish communist plot by Putin and Russia to take over the USA except be actually like Putin now that out candidate won because of him.
>>2102435
a NHS would be unconstitutional under our system, and while our healthcare is expensive and could use some serious reforms it still leads the world in innovation.
The finance game is the best way to make money, you just have to crowd out community finance.

why were jews always persecuted throughout history? from what i can tell pretty much every country has expelled them at some point. hell they supposedly even started out as slaves.
i know at some point pretty much every group of people has been treated like shit but it seems like jews have been treated pretty bad throughout their entire history
smart, foreign, and have economic clout
dey hate h8 us cos dey aint us Xdd
Multiple reasons:
1. They always rebelled, usually for religious reasons, like against the Romans and Babylonians, hence leading to whatever imperial power governed them to get fed up and crush them into dust. Other colonial provinces fell in line usually, but the Jews kept starting rebellions.
2. Christians were forbidden from usury, i.e. charging extensive interest on loans. Thus Jews took this up as an occupation, charging large amounts of interest on loans they gave. This gave the public perception of them as stingy moneygrabbers who like to manipulate money and rip people off, and are only concerned with gold.
3. They are very insular. They didn't like associating with non-Jews and outside peoples, always harboring a contempt for non-Jews. This, combined with their minority status, made them very easy to hate.
4. Their Talmud book contains numerous hateful references to Christ, along with their reputation for having killed Christ.
5. Involvement in various political conspiracies, from communism to bolshevist uprisings, which targeted Christian churches and traditional social heierarchy.
6. Their involvement in communism which led to genocide of millions of Christians.
7. The influence of powerful families such as the Rothschilds in influencing international politics and profiting off war.
I have a huge UDL debate tomorrow. I have the following resolution:
Resolved: “The U.S. federal government should increase immigration to promote greater U.S. economic growth.”
I need serious help making CON arguments. PLEASE HELP!!!

Did FDR really end the great depression or did his policies only make it worse or did they have no affect at all?
I know the left raise him on a pedestal and use him as an example of why big government and socialism are good. At the same time, the right vilifies him by calling him a tyrant and say he made the depression worse.
So which is it /his/?
The free market fixed.
All the guys in pic related started businesses.
FDR just took all the (((credit))).
Have you taken the red pill yet?
Technically, WW2 finished off the depression, but that was simply an even larger form of Keynesian stimulus.
FDR's main accomplishment is totally reshaping the role of Government in American life. Before FDR the main way that the federal government could be seen in your average citizen's life was the post office. The Federal government was dwarfed by the states until The New Deal changed what the essential purpose of the Federal Government was. The "New Deal" didn't end the great depression, but it no doubt served to alleviate the immense misery & suffering of poor Americans during it.
What flaws are there in anarcho-capitalism? I used to make fun of it, but the more I try to debunk it, the more I start to agree with it and I feel like it's too good to work.
What do you guys think? I can nitpick some things like animal rights (e.g. is raping animals an act of aggression while slaughtering for food is not?), not being required to feed your child, social security (though I hear there's style private alternative that I haven't looked only yet), etc.
So /his/, tell me why anarcho-capitalism is bad or explain why it's good I guess.
>>2102294
It doesn't provide for the general welfare as well as a nation with an active state. I'd encourage you to look at the oligopolistic practices of the robber barons in 19th & 20th century America.
You had companies like Ford hiring their own private police forces to nakedly intimidate & often savagely beat workers who attempted to unionize. GM spent millions bugging its own factories & buying 'stool pigeons' to try and catch union-minded workers. Steel companies would play on the racial divides of its own workers to prevent them from coming together and bargaining.
You essentially have a dog-eat-dog world where the mass majority of people are disadvantaged & mistreated in the face of powerful capital.
perhaps some sort of happy medium is possible?
>It is also unsatisfactory to some that the elective franchise is not given to the colored man. I would myself prefer that it were now conferred on the very intelligent, and on those who serve our cause as soldiers.
What did he mean by this?
I think it's pretty self-explanatory
He meant that he wanted to fix democracy.
>People always tell me "We shouldn't let Negroes vote!"
>And I'm like "Motherfucker.... YOU shouldn't vote."
