Why did anarchists stop assassinating people
The state got more powerful.
I fear now cyberpunk will become a reality.
Luckily, I program factory hardware (like the programs that control plasma cutters n sheit) so maybe I'll be good in the cyberpunk world.

They realized people in governments were just benefitting off of them and now they just rage against the machine by being neets.

Every time they did it, the public attitude swung further against them. They realised that "propaganda of the deed" is self-defeating.
How did our society get to the point where humanities and overall psychological and sociological aspects of human healthiness are ignored in favour of purely material/objective?
We as a species(X-kin not included) are inherently ridiculously biased and predispositioned and yet every system we make we try to make as robotic and perfect as possible.
Is it human inabilty to accept themselves as inherently flawed or just an endeavour to perfection or what?

Is Jung considered an influential figure for psychology by modern day academia?
>>2151333
Not outside history classes. In such classes, learned a bit about what the classics understood "mind" to be, moving onto the medievals, then on to modern thinkers, stressing the roles of Freud and Jung and such on moving to the study of mind to somewhere outside philosophy (Freud understood his own practice as an outgrowth of his medical practice), then on to more rigorous scientific thinkers like William James, Pavlov, Skinner, etc. There are still a few very old psychiatrists that cling to psychoanalysis like a cult - the Austrian response to the study of mind is a pseudoscience, much like the Austrian study of economics and the Austrian cosmogony otherwise known as World Ice Theory.

Influential in psychotherapy and applied psychology to a small degree, his work is filled with fascinating clinical insights. Not mainstream psychology as his constructs seem impossible to operationalise.
Mostly superseded Freudian nonsense like Lacan.

Indeed, that was an apt and true reply which was given to Alexander the Great by a pirate who had been seized. For when that king had asked the man what he meant by keeping hostile possession of the sea, he answered with bold pride, "What do you mean by seizing the whole earth; because I do it with a petty ship, I am called a robber, while you who does it with a great fleet are styled emperor".
Did you guys know Jesus was a jew?
race traitor too
>The parable of the Good Samaritan is a didactic story told by Jesus in Luke 10:25–37. It is about a traveler (who may or may not have been a Jew[1]) who is stripped of clothing, beaten, and left half dead alongside the road. First a priest and then a Levite comes by, but both avoid the man. Finally, a Samaritan comes by. Samaritans and Jews generally despised each other, but the Samaritan helps the injured man. Jesus is described as telling the parable in response to the question from a lawyer, "And who is my neighbour?" whom Leviticus Lev 19:18 says should be loved. Jesus answers his question in who is his neighbour, but also tells him to love his neighbour.[2] His answer corresponds to his words the Gospel of Matthew 5:43-48, to love his enemy.

The 2nd of January 51050 B.C., at the height of the Finno-Korean Hyperwar, the world was shown the horrors of biological warfare and gene therapy symbionts. Proto-Finns were never quite the same anymore, afterwards. The peculiar effects on gaze avoidence, speech problems, incomprehension of irony and metaphors (in short, autism) linger in their population to this day.

5th of March 51117 B.C., Jackie Chan - His most royal holiness, ruler of all fauna and flora, conqueror of Earth and its surrounding galaxies - becomes the lifelong supreme commander of the Korean forces (under the de facto Great Hwan Empire). Such an emergence results in a notable increase of production towards ladders and cement mixers - items wrongly presumed by the Finnish forces to have little effectiveness in military engagements.

First I'm not american. My materialistic desires were always very low. I'm not some marxist and I do understand the pros of a market economic and the pros of capitalism but a thing I never get is why some people are greedy and some are always chasing money. I have a lot of friends with this spirit, commonly associated with USA and sometimes I feel like talking to aliens since I can't relate.
Do I need to care about image first in order to have motivation to accumulate capital and be able to show off my success to other people? Can you ever be a good capitalist without moderate attention seeking inclination?
In my case should I read some humanties or literature?
have you ever considered that having more money is actually good, as it brings you more comfort, safety and freedom, and it's not just about showing off? Do you think people buy a house in the beach to show off? No, they legitimately like having one and it's fucking great.
>>2150864
>but a thing I never get is why some people are greedy and some are always chasing money.
Define greed in this case.

Humans chase material wealth because it makes them happy. They are hedonistic in a sense.
If you don't really want material things, their possession wouldn't do much for you.
What would she say about feminism today?
Since they're buying t-shirts to commemorate media cycles i'd say she'd be pretty pissed.
Nothing insightful because she's a corpse.
The truth of the matter is feminism (in the first world at least) was killed and what exists now is its murderer dancing around in its corpse.
It's funy people on imageboards, reddit and so on will point to modern feminism as going "too far" for being "too radical". In reality modern feminism, ignoring the obnoxiousness of its adherents, is actually quite objectively in favor of male interests.
Look to the second wave, the one self-proclaimed "anti-feminists" will say they preferred, this consisted of women using radical analysis to analyze why women wear heels and make-up, why they have to contort their natural form to meet these largely superficial beauty standards that are purely superficial. In modern feminism, 3rd wave feminism, make-up heels and the like are tools of individual empowerment. The consumption of consumer products and conforming to society's standards of "fuckability" is hailed as a "feminist" act.
What was once a movement for the liberation of a sex is now part of the ideological apparatus to perpetuate the continued consumption of products.
In short, feminism as it exists now will continue to find new and exciting ways to be obnoxious and appear as if it's making a difference in society (air-conditioners are sexist, man-spreading is a serious issue etc) but in reality any concrete "feminist movement" is completely dead and now only exists to sell an identity and encourage the continued division between the sexes.

He's officially a professor of sociology so analysis of his philosophical or sociological thought belongs here.
What does /his/ think of his work? Love it? Hate it? Indifferent?
he really puts an effort on looking like Rasputin

He unironically uses the chaos symbol from 40k as his logo so he is LARP-tier edge core.
His rabid anti-westernism turns me off but he's matured a lot of it from his earlier days. His 4pt book is interesting. The guy himself is pretty whacky though.
It's crazy how the current American domination of media has lead to a violent overrating of England/Britain through history
A very noticable effect of that is the retarded belief that English has always been the international language through history (when it has really only been the case since WW2)
In movies that features different languages set in the 16th, 18th century or WW1, you see Spaniards, French or German address Brits or each others in English like it would occur nowdays instead of Spanish or French like it was really the case until WW2
The worst case of all being the movie pic related
This piece of shit prides itself in the use of different languages to add realism, yet it makes English the language of international communication between crusaders
English was irrelevant as fuck during the Crusades, even "English" nobles barely spoke it since their native language was French 90% of the time
The language of international communication was Latin btw (or French when between French and "English" knights), not fucking English
Even German was more relevant than English
Weird thing it is, that an English speaking country might film their cinema in English.

What the fuck.
Why don't you go to film school and make your own shitty movie, Frenchie?
