That's not technically true. Not all jurisdictions apply the McNagthen standard. Just, for instance, in the U.S.

Nah man, AH Civ leaves it in the dust. You can't expand infinitely; even if your enemies are totally retarded and unable to withstand you, you'll run out of tokens long before you run out of Mediterranean and adjoining areas. And of course, the bigger you get, the further up the turn you go, meaning it's harder to keep expanding. You'll also absorb more calamities. You stay dynamic, as you cyclically wax and wane with your people.
