>Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness"
Who is God talking to? And wouldn't that indicate there is more than one god since the use of "our" image.

Why hasn't any other empire just bounced back into existence repeatedly after falling to pieces instead of being carved up and assimilated by other powers?
You're retarded if you think China remained culturally the same over the millennia.
While were on this, how much of the Yellow Dragon Emperor do we know is real or not? Was he a great individual or a mythic figure that they attribute the foundation of the basics of civilization?
>>2216167
Well there are a couple things. First geography made it much easier to bring the while.together like the middle east. Second the people did change especially in the Era of disunity. Third the population became so large at some point it mostly absorbed any of tiny foreign ruling classes.
Let's settle this once and for all /his/.
Who won the war of 1812?
>inb4 no one won/lost
>>2215412
America lost more men, but they got what they wanted. Britain got nothing from the negotiations, but burnt the white house down. I'd say america.
>>2215412
The indians lost.
The Indians lost, so everyone wins.

How come you can't find a single ancient Roman with blue eyes? That's very strange considering 30% of Italians have light eyes. And it's not like they didn't have the color blue either they used it a lot for everything else but eyecolor.

Did homosexuality continue in Rome after the signing of the Edict of Milan?
Did people even know how to read back then?
>>2228170
I think it was too deeply engrained in the Italian and Greek culture, and the people too.
The further south you go in Europe the more gays you find. It's just their thing.

Japan got nuked twice and we curbstomped them into becoming twink metrosexuals. I have no problem with Japan today because they're no threat despite what expats like to think.
I legitimately do NOT trust China at all. What pisses me off is that the US was China's friend. We actually tried to ensure that it wasn't carved up into colonies by the imperialistic powers. Don't forget the Flying Tigers and the guys that flew over The Hump to give the Nationalists and Communists supplies.
Those fuckers killed US, UN, and South Korean troops by intervening and dragging out a war that they shouldn't have poked their nose into.
Is Varg correct?

But seriously, he's full of shit. The first civilizations were created in Mesopotamia while Europeans were still tribal.

>WE WUZ SHANG N SHIET
Sorry Varg, but you can't be everything.

How could the Japanese navy fail this bad in WW2 ? Obviously, they never had a serious chance against the US, but why did they only inflict so few causalities ? Their navy was pretty good, the Zero was ok and they had decent pilots. Why none of their plan worked ? Even at Samar, against escort carriers, they failed. That's pretty bad.
>>2227861
Because they had no realistic means of forcing a decisive conflict while they still had the upper hand in forces on the water.
>>2227861
>their pilots were decent
Up until they killed them all off half way through the war.
>>2227861
While they had "good" leaders, they just couldn't replace their losses like America could. They had to spread out their forces a lot more than America
Is he right? Is Jesus really not portrayed as God in 3/4 of the gospels?
>still hung up on Christianity
Why even care?
>>2227769
That's not quite Ehrman's position. The Gospels, as literary artifacts, portray Jesus as God very clearly in Luke, Matthew, and John, and reasonably clearly in Mark.
Rather, John excepted, Jesus's own words in the Gospels do not portray him as God.
>>2227783
Wait, why are Christians believe more in the apostles than in Jesus himself?
