Why did he do it? Why did he have to go and solve Philosophy?
*solve* that's a pretty spooky thing to say.
>>2318760
>implying Wittgenstein didn't actually win philosophy.
Actually I solved philosophy last Summer but I'm not telling anyone the solution lol >:)
*Record scratch*
*Freeze frame*
Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.

As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be an Emperor
Go on
West Roman Italy born and raised, as a slaver is how I spent most of my days.
Killin all da Gauls and raping all da fools and crucifying tribe leaders outside of da vestibule
When a couple a guys who were up to no good, started makin trouble in my neighborhoods
I got in one little fight and then I got dead so now I'm hailed as a hero but was really just a dreg.

I'm crashing at a friend's house and we need something to watch.

what would have happened if russia didn't agree to help germany with poland? would they have gone through with it alone?
sure
Russia didn't really help. Poland was lost when the commies moved in.
Let's say that a raw piece of steak costs $2.83, but a cooked piece of steak costs $2.09.
How does an economy where raw goods are more expensive than their manufactured versions function?
No economic incentive to produce manufactured goods, so companies don't make them. But they would want manufactured goods to harvest/dig up raw materials more efficiently, so I guess the government would subsidize that stuff? It's really not a system that would "work" in itself. It violates the law of supply and demand.
>>2318260
The reason raw goods in runescape are more expensive than the finished product is because Runescape is a videogame.
>>2318260
Such an economy would collapse.
>The State will actually imprison you or take your children away from you if you don't send them to school
How is this ethically not a breach of privacy or individual rights? What right does a state have to take away someone else's child because that individual doesn't send their children to the state propaganda house?
you don't have to send them to the state propaganda house. there are private schools you could take them to, or you can even home school them. it's not teaching a kid that is a problem because it's seen as a form of neglect akin to not feeding them or not providing shelter for them.
>>2318227
Because basic education is a right and you are denying your children of that right.
Mandatory education is absolutely necessary in order to become a functioning part of society. There are literally no options left for you if you don't even have a basic education.
>>2318315
>home school
Only in America is this a thing and nowhere else. In Europe you'd go to jail for that.
It is a form of neglect and harmful to the child's well being. It is also in the interest of the government to make sure that the citizenry aren't a bunch of idiots, especially in first world nations like the US where science, technology, and services are a big part of our economy instead of manufacturing
Why the fuck do christians tend to demonize everything that isn't christian?
>muslims are worshipping satan
>jews are worshipping satan too
>pagans are also worshipping satan
>hindus are worshipping satan
i heard these 4 phrases multiple times.
>>2318202
Maybe everyone else should stop worshipping Satan.
Literally all Abrahamics are like this
>FUCK YOUR GODS!!!
>REEEEEE
>>2318202
Because THEY worship Satan, and He is a jealous god.
What duties nobility had in the middle ages?
>>2318196
Some were mechanics, others were ass-kissers, whatever, wherever whenever...
>>2318196
Mostly impressing other nobles and learning. It was pretty bad, it was expected of you to practice and win in swordsmanship, learn about many families, history, economy, how to manage a property and servants, but the worst thing was impressing other members of nobility and having a good reputation. Dance, chess, fighting, various strategy games, making appearences...
>>2318196
"The Middle Ages" is a period of 1,000 years across the face of a whole continent.
so, some albanian guy just talked to me about politics and claimed that serbs have nothing to do with the ancient serbs (pre-ottoman occupation) culturally or ethnically and that serbian nationalism, along with fake serbian history was created by the communists. serbs are allegedly a mix of all ethnicities who rebelled against the ottomans, but they preserve the orthodox variant of the ottoman culture.
how likely is this? are there any sources to confirm it?
>>2318195
It's like pot calling the kettle black. All Balkan nations have their own wewuzisms to hide the fact they all eat oriental food and listen to oriental music.
>>2318195
>serbs have nothing to do with the ancient serbs culturally or ethnically
Ancient Serbs are ethically the same as Modern serbs but they do have a different culture.
>serbian nationalism, along with fake serbian history was created by the communists.
not lies, however overexaturating(for example i had a argument about some battle and old schools claimed 15 000 people died but in reality 3500 people died)and influence of folklore in history.
>serbs are allegedly a mix of all ethnicities who rebelled against the ottomans, but they preserve the orthodox variant of the ottoman culture.
there are mixes of ethnicities around the Danube, but other than that most of Serbia is pure.
Some Serbian Guy from 4chan,out.
>>2318195
>some albanian guy
Well, there's the problem. Albanians are not people.

Why were Italians so smart in almost every facet of civilization? They dominated culture, politics, religion, and war for thousands of years
First they flourished with war, civlization, law, art and culture through Rome. You'd think they'd stop after that, but no then they rose from the grave and did it all over again as Italy
How the fuck did they do it?
By expropriating resources from other areas via taxation/trade/"brain drain."
The same way Persia did it. The same way China did it. The same way Spain did it. The same way Britain did it. The same way the US does it today.
>>2318240
>italy
>brain drain

They're German transplants by blood, Luigi.
If Hitler hated jews so much then why did he allow banks in Germany to continue to charge interest on loans?
>>2318170
How else do you expect a bank to make money? They would just lend money at risk and not turn a profit?
>>2318170
Because an economy can't function with interest
>>2318170
Because he wasn't a 12th century pope?
Why did it take so long for civilization to begin? Modern humans have existed for 100,000 years, yet civilization beginning about 6,500 years ago.
>>2318168
The real mystery is how did we ever stumble on something so unlikely in the first place.
Civilization was an economic choice.
Until the end of the Ice Age, it didn't make economic sense to spend all of your time in one place farming grains, when you could be following herds of migratory animals, keeping ahead of the weather and getting way more food.
When humans first started farming, they actually stopped for like a thousand years because of the Younger Dryas cold period temporarily bringing back Ice Age weather.
>>2318168
We only know about 6,500 year old stuff thanks to some goat hearders that begun putting marks on bricks.
Were there physical altercations between the people of 1930's Germany and the Nazi party prior to them becoming the main political power?
I'm usually told that people were very standoff-ish to Hitlers party, which led to them seizing power easier, and it's one of the main arguments of people who say punching Nazi's is a good thing. I'm hoping to be more informed about what happened in the past and how it correlates (Or how it doesn't) with what's happening now.
Thank you.
Commies and nazis were beating the shit out of each other on the streets
>>2318138
Who are "the people of Germany" exactly, since we're not counting the Nazis among them? Do the Communists who the Nazis fought their street battles with count as "the people of Germany"?
>>2318162
I apologize if the question was worded in a weird way. From what I read up on so far, the Nazi party were a very small minority of the country as a whole. My question could be framed as "Everyone else in Germany and the Nazi Party".
>Turned an agrarian superpower into a space-faring superpower
>Defeated Nazism and saved the Russian people from extinction
>Ended the exploitation of Russian peasants and industrialized the countryside
>Raised the standard of living of millions of people
Yet liberals on the internet have the audacity to say this man was bad?
>country is growing at a healthy pace
>communists take over
>set development back for a couple decades, and then resume growth at a slower pace and an appalling cost in human life

>>2318134
>liberals saying he's bad
What World Wide Web are you using? Every liberal is calling themselves comrade here in burgerland. Everyone thinks fascism is right around the corner
>>2318141
This is bullshit because Russia was not growing at a steady pace under Nicholas, and the world war was universally bad for Russia.
You're probably right about Castro though.
I just recently bought this German pin from an antique seller. Can anyone enlighten me as to the year and what this represents.
>>2318112
That's a badge for a beret of the Bundeswehr's KSK https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kommando_Spezialkr%C3%A4fte
>>2318112
It's the badge worn on the beret of German special forces (KSK). Nothing "antique" really.
>>2318112
That's a Final Solution Badge, it's an old SS award for extermination of Jews. It is extremely rare, only 278 were made and were given to notable high-ranking SS personnel in charge of death camps.
