How hard is it to make money with a degree in history? Is the job market as shit as people say it is?
It's a hobby not a job

So are all the career paths I've read about like museum curation over saturated with 100 million other faggots like me or do they just not make good money?
oh course it is. there's the high school history teacher tier which doesn't really take any historical knowledge. teaching schools is a job by itself with the same qualifications regardless of subject. then there's the museum, it doesn't take 100 historians to run a museum. then there's the actual historian tier, which is being a university graduate with your fancy degree sucking off your colleagues as you travel the world together and write books that only sell to other graduates. which is great. but, no, you're not going to get into it unless you're already in the circle of historical accounting and knowledge and as someone who knows nothing about these things, you can take my word for it.
Was he a somewhat competent ruler or simply a mad man?
>>2425133
he's highly underrated, no man can came closer of what he did
>>2425133
He is a mix of both. A mad man ruler, he clearly was dropped on some hard teutonic floors as a baby but he get's my seal of approval.

Were the Mitanni the ancestors of the Kurds?
yes, off course
>>2424679
So modern Kurdistan should include most of NW Syria also then.
>>2424708
Yeah
And modern Italy should include Europe N. Africa and Asia Minor, Germany should include the relevant parts of Russia, Denmark should include half of Britain AND Vinland ofc, Greece should include Asia M., M. East, Iran and Afghanistan, Iran should include M. East, Asia M. and some parts of Greece, Austria should include Netherlands and Spain, Spain should include South America, Britain should include basically half of the world and it goes on. Some of these may collide so someone will have to compromise.
Can we talk about the foundation of Israel without /pol/ memes?

>"In the west people are given more and more burdens, and are told they are freedoms"
t. Communist Party
>Let us not be mistaken about what we must understand by our independence. There is in fact a kind of corrupt liberty, the use of which is common to animals as it is to man, and which consists of doing whatever [69] you please. This liberty is the enemy of all authority; it suffers all rules with impatience; with it, we become inferior to ourselves; it is the enemy of truth and peace; and God believed that he had to rise up against it! But there is a civil and moral liberty that finds its strength in union, and that the mission of power itself is to protect; it is the liberty to do without fear all that is just and good. This holy liberty we must defend at all cost, and if necessary, at risk of our life.

Gee, I fucking wonder.
Only people who have never actually lived in (or even traveled to) places that severely curtail their people's rights and freedoms are naive enough to say things like that.

Joseph Smith was a new york con man who tried to start a cult so he could sleep with other people's wives.
He got run out of town whenever the locals caught on. Eventually they caught him and hanged him. By then his inner circle liked the whole sleeping around gimmick, and so they kept it up by moving out to the new West and making their own country.

Best written piece about it.

If God created humans (and all other life), then why do we develop cancer? It's literally a glitch in the cell reproduction algorithm. Some animals don't get cancer as often or don't get it at all. So God, an omnipotent being, was capable of designing a human body that didn't develop cancer, being omniscient, he would have known of a way to do it, and would know he was capable of doing it. If God exists he clearly wanted people to develop cancer. How do you explain that without God being a grade-A prick?
>>2423966
Why do animals sleep?
We evolved to survive and mate, basically. If there was an omnipotent, good-willing god we would be perfect (but again, is there perfection?), but there is no proof of such a thing.
They will says it's because of the fall. Death and disease entered the world after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit.
Then you will answer, what about the fossil record showing that death was around before humans even existed?
At this point they will split in two groups.
A: the fall is a metaphor.
B: fossils, evolution, dating methods and science in general etc. are a hoax and the bible is literally correct.
If you ask group A what parts are metaphor and what parts are not, and what are they metaphors of, they will provide a quote from x theologian that is not rally authoritative or binding in any sense, and will stop responding and will leave the thread while group B does the talking.
Group B will show dinosaur cartoons and endlessly rant that science is wrong and all scientists are out to be them, until you're grow bored and the thread dies.
What does /his/ think about him?

What role did the Rothschilds play in determining the outcome of the Napoleonic wars?
Rothschilds are the treasurers of the Vatican.
All roads lead to Rome, more specifically the diabolical Jesuits.

I'm pretty sure that they gave Britain lots of money which really helped them in the war against Napoleon.

Peterson is old and dull, you can get all of your "meaning" from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAh9oLs67Cw
