Crashing this empire, with no survivors.
Is it a consensus among historians that the Romans - the patricians, the emperors, the senators, those who built all the glory of Rome, those who made Rome become what it is famous for - were Mediterranean looking (like Southern Italians and Arabs) rather than Northern European looking (like Germans and Scandinavians)?
If no, how did they look like?
You get bonus points for mentioning sources, or just not talking about something you really have no idea of in general.

>teaches against Jewish materialism
yes. Any light skinned Aryan who doesn't believe Jews were the chosen people is.
There is no choice.
Choice is an illusion.
The illusion of choice derives from the brain of an individual.
The individual, when faced with a particular situation (for instance, having to take either a red or blue pill), believes his counsciousness is making the "choice", but in fact, the "choice' is only the consequence of which the individual has no power on.
What truly happens on the backstage is a chain of chemical reactions caused by molecules and subparticles that results in what we call "choice". Such chain of reactions can be traced back to the very origins of the Universe, in such a way that the "choice" was already predetermined from the very start
.
This, of course, also means that the concepts of "faith" and "destiny" are true.
Much like choice, every other human perception - emotions, feelings, logic, reason; what we see, smell, taste, hear, touch - are nothing but illusions, as they are caused by mere inanimate chemicals which our counsciousness has no power on, no control of. If anything, our counsciousness is the very byproduct of such chemical precursos.
And if the paragraph before this one is true, then that also means that this entire text is possbily false, as we would not be able to rely on our own rules of logic to come up with definitions that accurately depict reality, as they don't necessarily do.
There is also a possibility that the chemicals are not exactly inanimate. Perhaps they are made by the very essence of our lives or perhaps they were made by a god, but, if this entire rationale is precise, then we would still be mere victims to causality, like leaves being taken by the flow of a river.
Please refute me.

accept Judaism my friend, it's life affirming and communal, with beautiful aesthetics to boot

You've made the first step. You can read some basic theology or directly go to the Bible.
What is the thing preventing you from believing in God? I suggest you read Mere Christianity from C.S. Lewis

I've given thought to that, as well as Islam. But Christianity is the only religion that really interests me

The Mesopotamian civilizations
Hey guys,
I have a project in school were i am to give a presentation about the creation of the IRA and how it evolved and i am at a stand still when it comes to the outcome of the Irish Civil war. What i wish to know is how the war ended, who "won" the civil war, why the "won" it, what meaning it had for the IRA and why the IRA continued they battle for a unified Ireland.
Any help whould be much appreciated,
Thanks!
>>2441059
The Pro-treaty side won the civil war. The anti-treaty side were peacefully elected to government less than ten years after that.
UP THE RA!
The Irish are all traitors to the crown and should be gotten rid of.
I've been researching my family background. I'm half English/French.
It's a complicated task. I've gone through church parish records of births, marriages and deaths and on my English side I can trace some family records back to 1610. My mother left me a family tree diagram. It's a big sheet of paper and very detailed.
I have no clue about my French side. My dad told me he was born in Clermont-Ferrand and was raised there.
My parents and grandparents have died. And so has my wife. She was Scottish.
I was born in France, in Limoges but live in England. Dual nationality.
Where are you from /his/? Have you researched your background? Do you have any suggestions for further research?
>Where are you from /his/?

Because the people who post here are at best "fans" of history not students of the subject.
