It is one of the most authoritarian ideologies I can think of because it ALL depends on Hitler. There was no like list of goals or anything and the reason people seem to have a hard time categorizing it is because it essentially boiled down to it being whatever Hitler wanted it to be at any specific time.

Nah the trouble with my uni (and I guess it's probably the same all along my country) is that exams, as weird as it sounds, barely matter. Most of the classes are about writing essays on extremely niche and concrete issues related to the field or period the subject covers. After a 3 month course of ancient history (both greek and middle eastern) I can write pages about Solon but I only have a swallow knowledge of almost everything else. I had to interrupt my reading of Herodotus, which I started at the beginning of the course.

Adding this:
Google describes existentialism as a philosophical theory or approach that emphasizes the existence of the individual person as a free and responsible agent determining their own development through acts of the will.
Which to me doesn't make much sense, since the description above describes free-will in which a person could achieve without going through an existential crisis. To me existentialism was about the realization of the high probability that we might be alone in this universe or at least the absence of higher deity that could control the flow of our lives.
