vatican 2 council was the killing blow.
How did Uralics prevail against Indo-Europeans, whilst Paleo-European languages and other pre-IE European language families perished?
>>2570738
Because Uralics expanded from their Asian homeland post-IE colonization of Europe.
Paleo-Europeans were either too stupid to advance themselves or too matriarchal/feminist to care about getting ethnically replaced.
It's not surprising they didn't make it.
>>2570738
Uralic lived in shithole areas where no one else lived
Farmers lived in advanced societies in contact with others
Why didn't I learn this in school?

You mean like the radio? I wasn't aware that Marconi used "Tesla" as a pseudonym.
>>2570714
Though I agree he's an amazing scientist and deserves more recognition that Edison and Einstein, but he should've released that technology for the good of the world instead of holding on to it for his own pride and monetary gain.

Tesla patented it first

>Kept a respectable distance from Wehrmacht high command decision making from September 1939 - to June 1941, his input was limited.
>High Command took Europe in a matter of months and with minimal casualites
>Months into Barbarossa, he got scared and took personal command over the front and placed everyone on a short leash.
Smooth move.

>>Kept a respectable distance from Wehrmacht high command decision making from September 1939 - to June 1941, his input was limited.
>>High Command took Europe in a matter of months and with minimal casualites
Literally the exact opposite. He repeatedly butted in on High Command's plans, and that's why he was successful. High Command wanted a WW1 redux.
Why did Europe (specifically Western and Northern Europe) drift away from Christianity and religion in general? What caused this? Are they content with the idea there might not be an afterlife or some kind of being watching over them?
I think that specific train of thought is depressing.
>>2570475
because religion is a spook and the more educated you become the less you believe in spooks
>>2570475
>Why did Europe (specifically Western and Northern Europe) drift away from Christianity and religion in general? What caused this?
An extreme form of individualism, to the degree the family unit dissolved, led religion to be separated from its practices and as such reduced to a factual statement, either Christianity is true or it's not. And a lot of them simply don't believe in God while still using Church services. A lot of people also believe in "something higher" that's not the Christian god.
>Are they content with the idea there might not be an afterlife or some kind of being watching over them?
No but that's reality
>I think that specific train of thought is depressing.
It is
What were the most interesting things that happened in Europe during the Middle Ages, /his/? Also feel free to post or recommend good books to read.

"A History of Charles the Great" - J.I. Mombert
Covers Charles Martel, Pepin the Short, and Charles the Great all in one great collection. Politics, religion, law, war, and other usual topics are covered in great detail my Mombert. He also provides some neat translations to primary source material.
The Carolingian Renaissance is something interesting to look into. It helps counter the idea that the "Dark Ages" were nothing but bleak and destitute.
A peasant become a monarch in the Late Middle Ages.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivaylo_of_Bulgaria
The Bulgarians were able to defeat the Byzantines and Mongols simultaneously under this peasant-turned-rebel. They should really make a big-budget movie about his life.
The Hussite Wars
>You will never be a peasant gunning down knights with your bros from your war wagon
Should God forgive sinners?
>makes man with particular instincts and inclinations, then creates laws that go completely counter to them
the real question is if we should forgive god
he should not, they should atone
I'd like to learn Latin and ancient Greek, but I don't have the money for private lessons and I'm already studying.
Does anybody have any good resources for learning both?
For what purpose?
>>2570334

>Somehow the worst country in the world at war, with even the microstates it was once made up of being terrible at war on a small scale as well too

Do you think that decline of agriculture would return humanity to its natural state of a being and signify the return of neo-tribalist society?
We can shake off the agriculture revolution just as much as we can shake off capitalism.
>>2570057
>decline of agriculture
Kek.
Grow up.
>>2570057
It's the decline of the ecological systems and climate that makes agriculture work that is going to make it collapse.
Why were the RAF pilots such pussy cowards that they could only bomb Germany at night, dropping bombs innacurately on farmland, whereas German bombers were openly bombing Britain throughout the day?

Has strategic bombing ever affected the outcome in a war? Isn't close air support to help win key battles a far more vital and effective role for an Air Force??

give everyone in the empire roman citizenship. create smaller provinces with in the WRE. that are governed by Republic style governments. though the provinces are still beholden to the Emperor in Rome. stop being a dick to the germanics.
The germanics wanted what rome had but not to be ruled by roman emperors. since the emperors treated the ones in the empire like shit.
>>2569525
>give everyone in the empire roman citizenship.
