How do Protestants explain the apostle Matthias? In the book of Acts the apostles vote to replace the dead Judas with Matthias. You don't think this practice of replacing dead apostles continued after the Bible? Face it apostolic succession is real.
fucking hell OP that picture is so low res. Anyone got a higher quality version?
>>2572029
They cast lots between two guys to replace Judas; of course one of them was going to win the lot.
And then never be heard of again.
Jesus picked all of his own apostles, and Jesus picked Saul/Paul to be his 12th apostle.

>Face it apostolic succession is real.
So is satan.
If Constantine invented the Catholic Church why were there popes before him?
>>2571986
There weren't.
>>2571986
There were bishops of Rome before him. The title of Pontifex maximus was claimed by the pope in an attempt to legitimatize their claim to being the most powerful of the Patriarchs
>>2571986
>Catholic

It literally doesn't mean and it's only a way for autists to argue with other autists about stuff that no one else cares.
>>2571981
so it's a social construct?
>>2571976
It doesn't. There is no way to even identify a haplogroup without genetic testing. It represents a tiny, tintly portion of your DNA, and is only significant because the way it's inherited makes it easy to trace.
According to liberals the Crusades happened because Christians were jealous of the peaceful chill Muslims who discovered algebra and smoked marijuana. The Christians were jealous of how big the Musliims penises were and wanted to compensate for this by spreading their Dark Age mentality of oppressing science, women, and racial minorities to the Muslim world. When in reality the First Crusade was a Catholic counterattack against Muslims for invading Jerusalem 400 years earlier.
>>2571933
It was neither.
>>2571971
There was no economic incentive involved in the Crusades. That's why leftists hate them so much. They're okay with all these other meaningless wars, conquests, and genocides in history but the Crusades really piss them off because it was motivated by nothing more than to give glory to Jesus and to protect Christians.

One day I must meet one of these mythical liberals.
Who exactly ARE these people? Breakaway Bulgars who've achieved ethnogenisis? A case of identity disorder? Slavs with delusions of grander?

So the ancient knew what an uterus is??
This is fucking impossible without modern medicine, how the fuck is it possible?

...why would that be impossible?

When did military conquest cease to be recognized as a legitimate means of territorial expansion?
cold war
it was replaced by ideologically leveraging nations into serving as clients
>>2571725
Just military conquest has always failed, this has been true since the fall of the Spanish Empire. But in conjunction with other types of conquest... I'd say never. America is still doing it now.
>>2571725
After WW2, with the institution of international laws forbidding wars of aggression.

I'm stationed in the UK (I'm military) and I've got a mild interest in history, but seeing a military cemetery like this -- any military cemetery to any army -- makes me pretty mad. Is there some way to find out who owns it, or who I should contact to find approval to bring a portable pressure washer? I'd love to take a week of leave and see this place sparkling white again, I'm an Eagle Scout with some experience in public projects.
Who knows, maybe some fellow Europeans could decide on a time some months down the road (work is busy now learning my job) and we could do this together?

Wouldn't this look amazing if it were cleaned? It's mostly pressure washing.
Here's some pictures of it. I figure the first place to go would be the official Bosnia tourism website, maybe their embassy. If anyone has any experience I'd love the input. I figure it might actually get pricey to pay for all the water, the memorial is actually very big.
I don't think Momcilo Krasnejevic and Mujo Mujinovic would take too kindly to a Brit shit Dillie dallying about communist monuments. Be careful.
Can anyone explain why this differs from other forms of communism? Is it just a European expression of communism, similar to Third Worldist movements, or are there legitimate differences and is it more like social democracy/democratic socialism (i.e. less authoritarian than Stalinism/Soviet communism).
In the interest of being honest I'm a conservative, but interested in learning about left wing ideologies. I want to understand why you guys are divided so much.
>>2571683
>Is it just a European expression of communism, similar to Third Worldist movements
If that was the case it'd be nationalistic and specific. As it stands now eurocommieism is internationalist, globalist and cosmopolitanistic.
My understanding is that it was more willing to work with socialist parties, favored the ballot box over insurrection, and wasn't sycophantic to the Soviet Union.
Meme name for social democracy, it denies revolution and supports achieving socialism from the parliament.

Orthography Edition.
OK lads, let's fix this abomination known as "English Orthography".
We have ~12 vowels to say and 5 to write, about 26 consonants to say with 21 to write, some of which either are useless/double over.
How would you fix our writing?
Spelling reform?
Customise the Latin Alphabet to fit our language?
Make an entirely new writing system?
>>2571522
How about we remove the letter X, it servers little to no purpose. The letter C is also one that is basically useless.
>>2571794
Personally I like C over K for the /k/ sound.
It resembles the G and it makes a better pairing for plosives.
>>2571794
What about making c represent the /ch/ sound?
What the fuck happened to the labor movement? Socio-economic developments aren't leading to an increased standard of life anymore for most people.
The general prosperity of post WW2 America made them impotent as many companies could afford to just buy off employee loyalty with generous compensation so that most workers didnt feel the need to unionize.
>>2571238
Nowadays most workers are getting cucked hard though, why isn't the labor movement revitalizing?
>>2571223
It was thoroughly crushed by the Third Way, which rapidly and effectively replaced it as "What the Left stands for" in the eyes of most Western political laymen.
How much would be different had he won the Taiping Rebellion?
Could his claim of divinity have led to the creation of a fourth major Abrahamic religion?
Why did his fellow Christians in the West refuse to help him?
weren't they a bunch of reckless heretics?
>>2571212
>How much would be different had he won the Taiping Rebellion?
Probably not much.
>Could his claim of divinity have led to the creation of a fourth major Abrahamic religion?
No.
>Why did his fellow Christians in the West refuse to help him?
The guy was claiming to be Jesus' brother; and civil warfare in China tends to disrupt trade and make it harder to oppress and extract resources from the country
>>2571212
>fourth major Abrahamic religion
You mean the third.
