Why did he always go for women young enough to have been his daughter? I have wondered ever since I discovered him why he never wanted a woman his age? I am a woman with no interest what-so-ever in men even 1 day younger than I am (33 years), let alone 20 years, and didn't even like teen boys when I was a teen myself. Please explain why so many powerful men have always gone for women much younger than they were despite looking older than their real age themselves?

Similar to the Aztecs.
Brilliant maths and astronomy, for more or less religious purposes. Fantastic architecture and a storied history/culture.
They lacked a lot by way of material sciences and were pretty simplistic economically, at-least in comparison to Europe and the Middle East.

How come during the age of colonial empires the Spanish were the only ones to annex European land in a colonial fashion? Other countries, especially Britain, had plenty of opportunity.
Was it because of Habsburgs?

While some theists support the teleological argument on the basis that there are many 'constants' that must fall within a certain extremely narrow range in order for life to exist in the universe, perhaps this argument actually fails for the following reason:
Why suppose that The Big Bang Theory is like a deck of cards that could have been shuffled differently and turned out another way? Why not think that The Big Bang Theory is more like a gun that shot out the universe in the precise way that it did and there's no other way it could have happened?
