>beat the romans
That's not usually how people view killing your self before being captured.
Jewish warriors ended up killing themselves in the end. But yes, they were extremely brave. All Jewish wars againt Romans were Leonidas tier bravery. But they lost every time.
Yes, they kicked the Romans asses, but look who won in the end. Judaism is now only the butthurt reaction to the Romans destroying their temple, and Rome has ceased to exist beyond celebrate old men of the Catholic Church playing dress up.
The only victor was the unceasing March of death, that will wipe away the legacies of us all.
Is there any evidence to suggest that the whole of history is not just one big LARP? What if modern civilization has always existed and ancient civilizations like Egypt, Sumeria, Greece and Rome were just LARPs?
Our grandparents were space travelers of a long lost race that just so happened to find this planet, they constructed out entire history to ease the pain from us knowing that we are a fallen spacefaring civilization, that is the explanation for how literally everything was invented all at once in the last century. Humanity has only been on earth for about a hundred years. Now you know.

Does anyone have any theories on why the Native Americans in North America were so much less advanced than the Natives in Central America and the Andes.
Rivers
>>2762209
Chronological errors. I'd suggest that the Northern hemisphere was much longer effected from the Ice Age than what is consensus today.
>>2762221
How so? The major rivers across North America could have supported cities and farms to start up major empires
>there are actual people on this earth right now that literally, unironically believe in mormonism
fucking why?
Mormonism is a good old boys network, I'd convert tomorrow.
>>2762104
This. There's a ton of Mormons where I live in south Jersey and it seems like a really comfy religion. They foster a sense of community that is lost for most young Americans.
Why are all Mormon girls hot? Is it because they live healthy lifestyles or what
The background of Mormonism itself is retarded but >>2762271 is also right. Probably why I'm sympathetic to Catholicism even though I don't believe in God.

If the reason Christians don't have to sacrifice animals is because Jesus sacrificing himself was worth a gajillion lambs, why don't non-Christians sacrifice animals anymore?
>>2762069
because their Gods just demand prayers and fasts
oh and Jews can only sacrifice in the Temple but there is no Temple right now
>>2762131
Why do don't they build one?
>>2762069
They can if they want. It has no effect. And your number is too low.
Can anybody give me a convincing argument as to whether I may be ethically justifiable going pescatarian rather than vegetarian?
I've researched pain in fish (well I've read the wikipedia article) and looked online but haven't found anything particularly convincing. It seems as though they suffer in a similar way to other vertebrates, and there's mixed evidence as to the environmental impact of the fishing industry.
I'm not saying I'm opposed to it, but I predict we'll be seeing a lot more vegan threads on this board solely because of Okja being announced.
From a suffering standpoint it's probably the same-ish. Maybe different for small fish like sardines. From an environmental standpoint you should only eat sustainable fish. So eat plenty of sardines.
Keep in mind that there are animal products in just about everything.

Leader was crowed by the pope the de facto leader of the catholic church and western christianity
>ROMAN
Alright now this part is hard to understand so ill explain it for you
>eastern christianity and western christianity were having a disagreement over latin and greek rites
>the catholic church is upset when the leader of the eastern roman empire also know as the byzantine empire converted to a heresy know as iconoclasm
>then out of what is modern day france comes this german guy know as karl the great also know as charlemagne and he takes over a large amount of territory
>the pope likes this new german man
>so he crowns him king of the romans in honor of the fallen western roman empire
>EMPIRE
as stated above charlemange took over a lot and i mean A LOT of territory (southern germany france and northern italy) even today that is a lot
and to be quite honest empire is a buzzword for a large amount of territory

This
>>2761897
>Pope has no authority to crown an Emperor
>Roman means 'Citizern of the Roman Empire', which still exists at the time
Empire wasn't a 'wow such land'
In the medieval mindset is literally just meant 'Rome'. That's their entire mental picture of what an empire is.
What really happened:
>Lombards are getting closer to Rome
>Popescared.jpg
>invites in Charlie to save him because the ERE is too busy to focus on Italy
>Crowns him afterwards even though he has no authority to do so
>>2761897
>Pope wasn't the de-facto leader yet (Papal 'muh powers' isn't till the 11th/12th century)
>Greek and Latin Christianity didn't fully split till 1204 (the 'Great Schism' wasn't as big as popular history makes it appear)
>It's just a really really large Frankish Kingdom that gets split up and divided in a few generations
>Autistic German later comes about and 'refounds' the HRE after saving the Pope again
>war of independence against imperial power
>call it a "Revolution"
it was a meme war. the rich americans just wanted to stop paying taxes to britain. thats literally it was all about.
>Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization
>it's simply a nationalist movement that was at times allied with communists and fascists alike
>>2761755
And they wanted to colonize more land beyond the Appalachians, which was blocked by the British temporarily.
Take the raw savage evilness of Germans and combine it with the manipulative treacherous evilness of England, and you get the most truly evil nation on Earth...
Why isn't Luxembourg part of Belgium? It would look so much better aesthetically speaking
>>2761725
>Why isn't Luxembourg part of Belgium?
Because both are meme nations designed as buffer states which have become pointless post WW2.
Belgium is one of the few countries that actually didn't do nothing wrong in its entire history
Actual best and most versatile tank of ww2 coming through.
