I'll post some of the ones I've made.
Feel free to ask for a conversion.
I just wanted to see if there was interest in the topic
Hey man I was in the 1st thread.
Sadly I only saved this one, could you, or anyone who was there post the other pics?
And great job!
Thanks for reviving the thread OP, these are my favorite and your work is fantastic!
Those who are having trouble seeing them, I made them into gifs to make them easier to see.
Is there any guide how to make these? I made a quick search but didn't find anything relevant.
Different anon here
No you fuckwit, they're terrible. The perspective is way off, way too deep, and you're making distortions terribly. It hurts my eyes to look at, your spatial awareness must be in the shitter.
Attempt at converting one of those images to Oculus Rift. Tried it out & it works fine, but the image needs more background to fill the rest of the screen.
this cool little collection from Reptileye I feel would be neat in stereoscopic 3D
Ran trough this guide. Some parts got pretty blurry, I think I'll make another one taking my time and picking a easier picture.
wow, i stopped looking for stereoscipic pictures quite some time ago, but there are many great pictures in here. and some really horrible ones. luckily, the latter can be easily recognized and skipped by looking for the FIRSTMAN label.
Thinking about writing a small webapp that makes creation of these images easier and produces better results, not sure if it's worth the effort
How would you rate the THREE DEE in this image compared to the other images posted in this thread? Only bothered tracing the scarf though
Another sample, only did the outlines cause I'm not an autist
Again, rate please. How does it compare to the other stereoscopic images? (only the 3D effect, not the image itself)
Decided to go ahead and start writing this tool.
Never used gimp before and fucked up the bottom when tracing, but so far the maths-based approach is looking promising
will report back once it's stable
