May the old thread rest in peace..
It would've worked better in a less "extreme" animation imo, though I don't personally think there's anything wrong with the voice.
Dumping random webms unless someone wants me to dump some on specific characters or w/e.
They use the Source Film Maker. It's a pretty damn powerful tool that's surprisingly straightforward to use. The basic premise is that you have a timeline on which you can manipulate the position and orientation of various objects and bodyparts however you like. You just manually put them in the desired start- and end-points for a given motion, and the software will automatically take care of the actual translation between the two points. Once you're satisfied with the actual animation you can then add in one or several cameras to record the thing from a variety of angles, and you're golden.
Reminder that StudioFOW recently released their sequel to Kunoichi, as well as a mini-game featuring Nidalee from League of Legends.
Not as good, animation or model-wise, as StudioGGB, but the fact that they put out game-related stuff using SFM is amazing.
So, I made a thing. This is the first actual animation I've ever done in SFM (or anywhere, for that matter), so please do feel free to tell me all the ways in which it is shit. I'm already aware that the camerawork is pretty un-smooth, I wanted to convey a hectic feeling but it didn't quite seem to work out that way in practice. I guess if you're looking to start out as well (the SFM really is quite a bit more approachable than I'd thought) and have some questions to somebody in the same boat, feel free to ask.
Also, the webm conversion did a number on the quality, so if you for some reason want to look at it in better quality, see here: https://u.pomf.io/wezbpd.mp4
the panning obscures the action. people are meant to fap to this so have as much of the hot stuff in view as possible even if it means you have to restrict your spielberg ambition.
the actions are too stiff and subtle. there's nothing wrong with exaggerated postures and movements. look at >>7723569 for example
probably just an issue because of the 360 but if you're going to shoot from multiple angels set up the lighting properly to see from all angles
the bottom character just went dead when the top came, make her react in some way
It's just a power-fantasy. People role play rape scenarios, it doesn't make them rapists. And given the context of the universe those characters derive, where two contest for victory by violence, it makes sense that this extreme fantasy would manifest itself from that. But, it's harmless. You watch an action flick, see thirty people or more die in the course of two hours, and I bet you don't even bat an eye. See some gif of two recognizably fantasy characters in some fatal rape scenario and your wires are all crossed. Honestly, just come to terms with yourself instead of judging others.
its fantasy. I think I can speak for most of the people here when I say I can differentiate fantasy from reality. IRL rape is fucking horrible, and all jokes aside, I feel terrible for anyone it's happened to. Fantasy rape is hot, at least to me. Its not unlike video game violence. You see someone gunning people down or running them over in a video game and its badass. If you saw that shit in real life it'd be horrible
>oh boy it might be something good
>notice Joker to the right
Goddamnit, he just isn't even pretending anymore that he isn't a c-u-c-k-o-l-d.
That distinction isn't really that relevant. Miranda and Jack were deliberately designed around Yvonne and Candice on purpose and Cersei in GoT was purposefully made to look like Lena to tie the game to the show.
Whether the creator set out to make a character specifically based on someone or fell into using a certain person for an existing outline there is no difference.
I will grant that that there is somewhat of a difference when there's larger aesthetic changes between the actress and their character like Rana McAnear or Jillian Murray being mostly unrecognizable to most people versus Quiet being virtually a carbon copy of Joosten.
