Do we have a /stupidfuckingnewbie/ general? I just started learning how to use shit like illustrator today and was wondering if we had a spot for people who are shit to slowly work, improve, and share what they made.
that's like most of the content posted on /gd/, but maybe it would be ok to contain early photoshop farts in one thread
have some books to read:

Hijacking your thread.
I wanna start learning PS just for fucking around. What's the best version to use? I'll be torrenting it anyway so price doesn't matter.

unless you have a pc from 10 years ago PS CC is the best one although there's barely anything different from CS6
you can find a good torrent with instructions here

I have never used illustrator before so I started reading through the tutorials on Adobe's site.

Did this one yesterday and made this silly little shit. Was fun learning and going through. Something about it just feels off though. Probably the lack of sky.

Thanks for the books. Hopefully I can get some hardcopies of them for cheap. I prefer physical books.

Is there any difference between CC 2015 and 2017?
>>314631
2017 has flat-ui meme. and some better Illustrator exporting tools afaik.

Wow surprised to see Hannah diamond

Sounds fun. I would do that. I have been hard at some fun garbage and am reading Design, Form, and Chaos by Paul Rand as I go.
Whenever I save something as a PNG or JPEG in illustrator it ends up coming out looking like shit.
Why is this happening? I understand it is going from vector to raster but there must be some way to maintain the quality at the original size.

post a pic and do you use save for web?
>>314794
I was using the Save for Web (Legacy) and it was causing that issue. It was from older tutorials.
I started using Save for Screens and it solved the issue.
Weird.
Is it possible to rotate guidelines in photoshop 2016?
