what ya things?
uninspiring

More contrast needed between the palm trees and the hemisphere - sun shape. It seems they should be near-silhouette.
There's a little too much crammed into such a small space, mountains + sun + horizontal plane
seen it a million times

1. It looks very busy.
2. It looks very disconcerted/abstract
3. It looks sort of like something a surfer would've been hanging from his rearview mirror in the 80s.
Palm trees should be silhouetted

Perfect Aesthetic piece.
>>307484
too many edges, if not perfect.
>>307484
very busy
things that are supoused to contrast don't,
apply some color theory (harmony)
don't overdo the gradients
>>307484
also, don't overdo the bloom
and, try to make all things be justified, meaning that they are composed that way for a reason.
>>307484
This needs contrast
>>307484
This second horizon, doesn't make sense in this perspective.
>>307484
I think it looks A E S T H E T I C.
I think people are criticizing this without understanding the style. What are you planning on using this for, if anything?
>>308092
okay, anon my brotha, listen for a second.
there is a difference without art and design.
art is not suppoused to be understood.
DESIGN IS SUPPOUSED TO BE UNDERSTOOD.
if people are not understanding the style, then the design is not well made.
>>308093
shit, i meant *between* not without.
sorry my english sucks sometimes.
>>308093
Ok, maybe he just posted on the wrong board then, whatever. That's why I asked him what he wants to use it for, to give people more context.
It looks nice.
I know most people here are only trying to give constructive criticism but also most people here suck and shouldn't be listened too.

Art doesn't have to make sense.
Does the perspective or traditional tattoo work make sense?
Does salvidore dalis imagination make sense?
Does cubism make sense?
>>308093
Or maybe the people looking at it aren't the intended audience?
>>308123
holy shit this must be bait.
>Art doesn't have to make sense.
it should if you want it to be good art.
>Does the perspective or traditional tattoo work make sense?
yes
>Does salvidore dalis imagination make sense?
yes
>Does cubism make sense?
yes
just because you don't understand it, it doesn't mean it doesn't make sense.
>>308159
What does it mean for art to "make sense"?
dear >>308123 , please ignore >>308159 , he's even more lost than you.
Listen. this board is for graphic design, witch is not the same as visual art. yes, they have a lot of things in comon, undeniable, but they are NOT THE SAME FUCKING THING.
art: doesn't have to make sense, not even to the artist
design: has to correctly comunicate the intended idea, from the designer to the audience
thats why learning art is absolutely subjective, but design has principles.
for example, making things contrast makes them easier to read, and things that are easier to read are easier to remember, thats why logos are usually black sillhoute over white background.

Bumping for darker trees.
>>308232
But sometimes in the odd circumstance design can take from art more heavily than usual.
This is a person who believes everything they have been taught in design school and never looked out of that box to realise things don't always fit into a neat little package or follow the typical way of doing things.
This is a basic designer who needs to do some more research.
>>308260
this is another asshole that thinks he completely knows people based on a paragraph when in reality he's just generalizing like an asshole.
of course they borrow from eachother, thats not the point tho. they are different concepts.
something can be both art and design.
but design doesn't imply art, and art doesn't imply design. they are not inherently tied concepts.
