Need to create a law firm logo but I dont want to use the overused owl/mace/greek pillar/pen/balance iconography. Give me ideas.

>they're name
>fucking idiot

They dont want that
What other iconography could fucking work for a law firm? I think playing with white space could make it look not as generic.

thumbnail you fuck. brainstorming is the most fun part of design
OP, sometimes those symbols that are absolutely endemic to a field are the best choice. Gavels, scales, Lady Justice, etc, might be your best bet. Where you need to shine in scenarioa like that isn't so much in choosing an unused symbol, but in your execution of it. Play with negative space, (for instance a silhouette of Justice where the blindfold is a cutout of whitespace) or perspective, or gestalt imagery.
You aren't going to come up with some new signifier for Law, everything under the sun has been used, so concentrate instead on a unique application of one of these old motifs.
Maybe a white background with a black minimalist icon of a courthouse or?

should add to the top left of the logo, centerfold the name, and bottom small text any disclaimer if any,
Make it a cat face. Everyone loves cats.
