I will start studying Graphic Design in March so i wanted to ask which are the best Laptops for the career.

What career? You need a pencil and a pad of paper.

graphic design

Most Laptops will run the Adobe suite images applications just fine, you'll need a better laptop if you want to edit video.
The only thing you really need to look for is a Laptop with a good screen with color accuracy.
Look for a screen with: IPS, at least 8-bit, at least 1080p, 100% sRGB.

Ok thank you very much anon

I would consider getting getting a Wacom pad as well. It'll make the process of redrawing artwork a lot easier. I use a Cintiq Pro Small, and it's adequate. If you can learn to use that as a tool for drafting up your work, it'll really help.

Work from a desktop as much as possible

Used 2011+ Macbook should do it

Really depends on what type of GD you want to do. Like >>295755 said, any computer with the essential Adobe creative suite software is good.

I have noticed though that a large chunk of the creative industry uses Macs for a multitude of reasons (one being there are certain programs such as Sketch for UI that operate only on MacOS), but if you can't afford one or can't fathom spending so much on a laptop, anything that can get the job done is good.

Things you need:
- hi res LCD display
- copious amounts of memory
- a high powered graphics card with copious amounts of VRAM

and usually all the other specs will fall in line if you have the above 3.

Peripherals
- storage (pay for a 3-4TB external drive and subscribe to a cloud service for online storage)
- Wacom tablet

Software
- Adobe Creative Suite (get a student account)
- Audacity
- Autodesk tools (students can use this software for free up to 3 years)

Hardware side focus more on GPU, RAM. More the better, but go what your budget allows.
Get pencils and a plain notebook. (Offline use)
Get a tablet (Online use)

Don't just try to learn or gather information, instead start doing along side learning.

Subscribe to various design related websites and get inspired.
Showcase your work and build a public portfolio.

Do internship in your beginning level.

Can I get CC subscription and say I'm in college eventhough I'm not?
>>
>>296046
You need an ID from a college. So no, it's not that simple, unless you use your cousins ID or something.
>>
>>295744
>Paid $300 for CS3 Premium about 5-6 years ago.
>Want to get back into vector design.
>Install it.
>Website that would allow me to obtain serial key is down.
>Their customer support refuses to help me.

Do I really need to pay for a subscription?

Does anyone know a reliable crack/keygen or something?

Look for a mirror of Torrentz.eu, or go to extratorrents (google it, I can't remember the exact address)

>>295969

Technically illegal to use these for profit but I don't think anyone's gonna come after you. Just remember to clear EXIF data from any files in case they hide some shit in there

Macbook Air 11"

Anything else is just asking for bottlenecks.
>>
>>296880
me 13" 2013 Air got me through school perfectly fine. Hell, I bought a 5k iMac and the air runs photoshop better that it did.
