Go CIELUV or go home bro. just take your LAB value and directly convert it to RGB/HEX for web. Now take your RGB/LAB display and pick a pantone color based off of your observation, apply that CMYK color corespondent and convert those CMYK values to LAB, these are your print colors.
You now have color reproduction consistency and overlap in incompatible media. Just make sure the colors you pick are inside traditional process printing, or else this all gets way fucked.
Actually I should really point that out, lab is all colors, I can't take the time now, but picking the values requires and understanding of the gamut range of your monitor's display combined with your own ability to extrapolate.

gamut range....were the next two words
