Hey /gd/ total novice but got an interview for a Graphic Design internship that I would love to land. My portfolio is mostly Illustration work however, its my major. What should I do?
Whip up a mock-up of a magazine spread.
Use indesign to do it.
Even if it's garbage it will knock their socks off because it shows layout skills and basic understanding of design.

Just put your good stuff in there anon, don't fill up space with subpar things.
A portfolio with just 4 really good pieces is a lot better than one with those 4 plus 2 good ones plus 2 ok ones plus 2 pretty bad ones.
