Guy's I wanna replace Doctor Strange with a dog but I keep damaging the circle when I try to get rid of Steven Strange's hands. Any ideas?
Just replace the head

You need to isolate the editing area with a clipping path, then make selection, inverse selection and start working on the layer bellow (there will be a hole whre his head is(

You cannot edit it without damaging the circle due to the gradients and glow of the circle. Either find an image of the circle to add on to a photo or do a hard trace/magnetic selection or path to selection (which will take more time if you wish it to be easier to edit in the end) of the circle, then harden the edges and redo the glow yourself.
Find or create the kind of rune design you see by his hand first, and find some dust/scratch textures as well. Work on phasing out the entirety of his hand and the circle so that it matches the rest of the background appropriately. Then, add in your paw and set up the rune layer above it. Duplicate the run, add a heavier gaussian blur and mess with layer effects until it's glowing the way you'd like. Screen or overlay the dust/particle effects. Good to go.
just get the circle itself from somewhere on the web
edit your image and when done, paste the circle on top of your edited image

Find the Circle somewhere else. replace the hand, and paste the cirle over, you'll have to redo the glow and fading to match the original

There, I did it for you so don't bother
