also consider using the pen tool if you haven't already. you can outline the shape then inverse the selection and its just a more percise way to get a proper cut

just use color range m80 and then magic wand
and just desaturate the rough edges of green between the hairs

Just erase the background and redraw the hair with the blur and pen tool
