Hey!
I have app project for guides/trips and I need to design a logo but got no fucking idea how.
Can /gd/ help me?

sure post your sketches and we'll give you critiques.
Here some tests.
The first letter of the project is a "a"

Not that anon. I like the idea of a lower case "a" becoming the iconic pin, though you'd have to refine it to see how it would look. Careful not to make it look like a speech bubble. I don't like the wind rose, specially not with the pin.
You could also work around it and drop the pin altogether. It's used way too much, it's an universal symbol for maps and directions. No one would remember of your brand if they are told to download the app with the blue pin. You could use a pin that looks more like an actual pin as well.
some keywords for your inspiration: road - pointing finger - atlas - lighthouse - cane (as used for climbing hills) - footstep - arrows - clouds - note on the doorknob (in hotels) - packing and bags
To be honest, I really like this lower case "a", but something is missing, it's to simplistic…
I also found this.

It's too similar to Google's Allo,

If you really, really, really like that 'a'.
Go with what >>286618 told you.
I assume you're designing a guide for a citytrip?
Whats your USP, what does you apps do that others don't? What do you use, what do you see what do you need?
You can use those things to make your logo.
For example maybe the 'a' is a map and it has creases in it because it's folded, maybe the center is the part where the light from the lighthouse shines through.
