it looks like an app icon not a logo but it could look good with a classic style like the royal or emblem designs.

I Get what you mean by emblem though..Like a crest. I was thinking of adding the golden branches (what are they called )

Its more true to flat design like this. But like my compadre above said, it looks more like an app icon.

I also don't know if you are using the grid to help you with alignment or if it's apart of the logo, but i'd remove it.

The color scheme isn't terrible, but it isn't good. I'd start with making the flame more golden and perhaps not as monotonous, I would also work on the asymmetry because goddamn is that a turnoff

Flame could be a bit more detailed, looks too cartoonish for me.

Improved upon this. Made the torch itself symmetrical and disconnected the flame.

Nobody's touched on this, but the horizontal bars on the torch have different perspectives... The bottom one should be nearly flat.
