You need a lot more in-between animations. If you're not willing to animate every frame, don't bother doing it. Tracking the unlit saber doesn't work.

Beyond that, it's pretty film school shit. Using the "muh repeated shot" is boring, just cut to the next shot or do the slow mo shot immediately after the realtime. This isn't complicated shit, we get it the first time.
Overall, don't stop filming or animating, but do keep your shit to under 1 minute, especially if you're not going to bother to put your dog inside.
