Not sure if this is the right board, but I found one of the most amazing special effects/3D Animation videos I've ever seen. Post more like it. Pic related. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvTvgj69azc

Also, if you're not a gamer, or you don't know what CS:GO is, I suggest checking out the edits vs. originals video so you can get an idea of how much work was actually put into this.

This is VFX stuff which is more suited for >>>/3/ in my opinion.

>Also, if you're not a gamer, or you don't know what CS:GO is
This is so funny and sad
>>
Das some pretty hardcore technical vfx wanking

Effects for the sake of effects. Most aren't badly executed but it's very overloaded. That intro was way too long.

Only thematically cool effects were the scene transitions.

This is in need of a proper concept.

How so?

That's some very talented 3D rendering and VFX, hopefully she gets out of Counterstrike shit and into something more professional working under someone with a strong vision she can bring to life.

I can't believe I missed this. I edited my first about a month ago and it's pretty terrible. I want to get better but I don't want to feel like I'm copying 1:1 other ones I've liked. I have trouble figuring out what's good, or enough to pass as being 'well edited' without being over the top.

About this, is the editing mostly minor color alterations? I noticed the sky in the first scene looks pretty nice.

first choose an style (hardcore, chill, rock, hiphop etc) learn effects, workflow and plugins but don't overedit too much. usually you start by choosing one or two songs open them on vegas/ae and edit/select only the best parts delete the rest. after that put some markers on the best moments of the song and use the best effects/ideas on there. i also have a list with some exclusive editing packs and plugins reply if you want them.

just use premiere or final cut dude

>just use premiere or final cut dude
not op. i've been editing for more than 5 years and ae+vegas+handbrake are usually the best for youtube. final cut is mac only and premiere doesn't really fit gaming montages since it's used mostly for full length films.

Whut why would premiere not be suitable for short youtube clips? You get seamless integration with After Effects which is a huge bonus in my book.

I've only sparsely worked with Vegas. What would be an advantage while using it to create motion graphics?
>>
>>277358
Here. My first edit that I mentioned I did entirely with Premier, going to be trying out aftereffects next time but I get the impression that's more for adding stuff into footage (motion tracking etc) rather than editing existing footage.
>>
>>277414
for motion graphics nothing can top AE and C4D for 3d stuff but we're talking about video editing/montages and at least for me vegas has the most intuitive user interface and even if there's tons of things missing there's some things that are more easy and fast to do on vegas like sfx, vst3's, also the flow and the render setup. are probably the ones people care the most for. now tell me something only premiere can do.

i'll post this again

>Premier didn't fit gaming montages. I used to do these. You are actually really wrong about this. Premier should be the main cutting tool for anyone wanting to use ae edited footage. It does is job just as well as Sony Vegas. There's no reason to buy have it over Vegas. The drop in bitrate is just not worth it. Peopl that use Vegas are using it just because they're so used to it and learning a new cutting soft ware again is daunting

Sorry for shit formatting and typos him on mobile

Welcome to the gaming montage community. Over -editing for the sake of who had the biggest editing cock.
>>
that's quite impressive, even if most of that stuff is community shared or free domain textures etc. some kind of deal with the many cs go televising programs going on she could really strike it for a little bit, until everyone catches on.
