meh to the extreme. nothing seriously bad. But if you have zero experience with real clients AND zero creative design ideas, Im not sure how you're gonna make it

Back to top button doesn't work.

Algun tip para un novato?

It all looks the same.
Main color scheme is the blue from the title. Should I make all buttons red or is the light blue buttons in this case (the header) okay?
>sidenote: not concerned with emphasizing graphic design abilities in site presentation. i do gd on the side but primarily aimed at law/essays

I like it.
In my opinion your strongest works are Skyline Vapor, Breach, Fit, and maybe Jack. Even still these have a few issues i will point out.
Skyline Vapor- love the strong type setting, color palette, and composition. It's all laid out in a very presentable manner. My gripe with it is that i didn't know this was a vape company until i saw the store page website layout all the way at the bottom. It speaks too much corporate business and not the target demographic. I thought it was just some enterprise. I think this is mostly due to the vague tag lines and unrelated imagery. A guy in a business suite, a skyscraper, vape use too subtle... i had no idea what it was about at first glance. Some of the type is hard to read or gets cut off. I was reading GC on the business card. Strong work but it need to be clarified.
Breach- Love the textural work here, good dynamic composition, just overall great. Good job!
Fit- Great action, communicates the subject visually, good color palette. Good, could see it posted everywhere.
Jack- Interesting concept but i feel it's a little lacking because of how cluttered the scenes become. The original visual language that made samurai jack great gets lost in translation.
now onto the weak stuff...
Arias & Piñeiro - terrible logo. looks like a bunch of squiggles.
Tiki-Taka - crude lettering, the colors work but the logo looks like it was made by 2 year old.
Photoshop progress 2014 - 2016 - compositionally and perspective wise it's terrible. execution wise it's poor. Shows your skill set but you over worked it in a bad way.
other projects are meh. Strong photoshop work though!

Thanks for going through every single one, much appreciated. Can't argue with any of that, I've gotten similar feedback on a few of the projects. And thanks for being blunt on the ones that sucked.
The two logos are there because I haven't done much other work for actual companies. I think I'll remove them soon.

You shouldn't remove them, rework them. You have to showcase a wide gamut of skills/ideas.You can't just rely on photoshop composites, however strong they are.

is this a joke?
Would you mix 2D and 3D onto the same thumbnail page split in categories or put them on seperate subpages?
Also, what is the be-all-end-all thumbnail tile setup in your opinion. Squares, actual ratios, other? Can you post an example of what great portfolio design looks like. Web based obviously.
