Yours still looks & feels unfinished. Don't use minimalism as a scapegoat for this.

It's the typeface that's killing it for sure though. If you want to push the modernist feel, apply its methods. Find a different font but try opening the tracking pretty far. Thicken up the outer stroke of the circle a few points then post it again.

Here's the thing: It kinda is. Minimalism is about removing information and there is very little going on in that picture. It reads instantly and you can get the entire thing from just the thumbnail.

Minimalism doesn't mean "use as few lines as possible." That's just what /gd/ thinks it means.

Pro tip. When you watermark something, you use your own logo and not the the "watermark"...
And usually do it once or when it's an image you use your logo as a pattern and not just randomly place it everywhere.

I think may go for this version with blue sky and white, so that
>1) it's less distracting than purple going into blue [strong colors, driving attention away from center]
>2) fewer colors that blend better with the text rather than contrasting and driving a wedge between the two.

About the left dash of the square root (or serif of the V):
Should I keep it horizontal, or at a 35* angle as in √ would be written out?
