He's not wrong, the white writing can't be seen on a desktop, unless its looked at from an angle. all you'd need is a slight shadow for contrast.
I'd continue that gradient into the bottom right corner as well, unless you want to make that arrow more defined, it takes too long too think about it.
1 fits theme the best, and for the love of god make the text readable.
