How did you achieve the composite affect for your image? It looks like cool and I'd like to experiment with the affect.

think i overlayed the architecture picture using the one that subtracts all the dark out of the picture, that's how I got the top left. Then overlayed the same picture again using the one that subtracts light, and that's how I got the darks.
The red and purple bits I just got by putting another image of the girl over and blending it with the 'saturation' blending option.
You can adjust just make an adjustments layer and enable the clipping mask so each layer has their own effect.
Also gradient tool allowed me to split up the values into more whole groups. For example, the light orange on her lip is one color throughout. Less detail but more blocky colors.

All the detail I can give is that the merchandise is a collaberation with Cali Thornhill DeWitt, who is known for his pieces using the same font.

Disagree. I think often times blatantly thick and opaque dropshadows give an extremely corny and horrific look; but not in this image.

The abrasive and monotonously desaturated look of the image lend really well to the brash use of nontransparent dropshadow imho. The runner's silhouette and reflection also coordinate with the dropshadow.

Looks grim, thick, and hazey to me. Like some kind of poorly produced early 90s gem.

I am not very good at this (never tried it) but i really like the idea of fotoshoping and creating stuff like this, can anyone help me out. what programmes do i need to download, somethimes i do try to make stuff like this just for fun but i do that on paint sooooo you could imagine that it is not really good but i do think that I have some potential lol... So where should I start.

i use paint 2 for mac. its free on the app store and is pretty easy to use
