Most logo's are built over time which develop who it is as a company/service/etc.

Pic related, do the two arches remind you of hamburgers? Or is it the time it's stop by the chain that paired the two? Same for Twitter, Nike, Adidas etc.

I wish a company with a better name would have won the ride hail app race. Lyft has a way better name even if they do have that lame pink mustache branding. It makes sense and spelling it with a Y is a nice little twist.

Uber has nothing to do with getting a ride somewhere. It's one of those shitty names that people just became numb to because it's everywhere, like Google.

2. Uber is a very young company that got a smash hit with their phone app, that's all they have "brand recognition" for, they don't even know if the their taxi stuff will survive. Now they're trying to branch out in other areas and become a "real" company. This could very well motivate a complete change of appearance
