I don't hate it. It's simple enough that it can be reproduced in embroidery (like a polo shirt), shrunk down for paper documents, and easy for someone who doesn't draw to replicate without much difficulty.

That said, it IS sort of dull. Would you post how it would be seen in a company style-book, or how it would be used in collateral and advertisements?

and less like a japanese symbol... unless that is what you're going for. Make it more abstract and less like an actual/cultural thing, that will make it more unique
